When I booked my Cat 6 cabin (2 adults) for the May repositioning cruise, my cost was $6171.78. An hour later the same cat 6 was $300.00 more and now(3 hours later) it is showing at $6949.78. I can't believe that the rates keep increasing when ressies have only been available for 5 hours now!!

I booked at 1:10 this afternoon and got a family of four on the 8/20 repositioning cruise for $4643 - that same cruise right now on the website is $1200 more

I am so glad I called as soon as I did.

Would the prices go down if a bunch of people release reservations on the May 10th deposit date?

Hopeful,
Juli

The reason the prices are increasing is simple, supply and demand. There are a certain number of rooms on the ship in each category. Normally the early bookers get the discount. This can take anyhere from one day to 3 months. Then the next level of discount kicks in. I just got off the phone with DCL CC, the rep said at 1pm they had 300 calls in cue for over one hour. Everyone wants to get on these repositioning cruises, and the CA Itinerary, because they are new offerings. You figure that there could be about 1000 T/As and or passengers calling for each sailing, so the early booking discounts went quick. I would have liked to have paid less, but I did get a guaranteed single at only 175% of the double rate, so I am very pleased. And it's such a long way off I will have all kinds of time to save up spending money.

In a word Juli.
No.

I think these cruises will continue to sell. At least those on here that got in early know Disney's game plan with prices going up as inventory goes down.

Cheers,
Grumbo
