Hi everyone, I know this could well be an open ended question :thumbsup2

Looking to book above date within the next few weeks, I'm getting (what I think) are fair prices from TC going with Virgin.

2 adults
9 year old
3 year old
15 year old.
2 weeks.
Going around 25th Nov for 2 weeks.

Prices I'm getting are around £2850 for a 3/4 star hotels (Hawrthorn suites and alike) Are these good prices?
Even if I look at VA and BA for Dec 11 - no dates for 2012 the flights come in at £2000-£2100 so that leaves £700 for the hotel.

Do you think I should just book the pacakge or wait for the 11 month advance flights?

Ta xx

Check with other operators . Try complete orlando as they tend to be quite reasonable.

CO won't have flight/hotel prices online til 11 months out, hotel only for now.

Just another idea, can you go early Nov instead of later in the month? Free dining is available upto 18th Nov. If you went 4th-18th it would be more expensive but all your food included, ie Beach Club or Yacht Club £2,744, how much would you spend on food a day if you stay offsite? Tickets would be to buy ontop but will you be buying them anyway?

From Mousesavers

Christmas Decorations

Christmas decorations at the Walt Disney World Resort usually begin going up around the first of November. The decorations are gradually added at night and are substantially complete at Magic Kingdom by the time of the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (in 2011, that is November 8), with the resorts and other parks completed by the day after Thanksgiving.

The price I quoted above was from Complete Orlando for 2 adults and 3 children, I entered your childrens ages.

Checked http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/ also on there but £3,038, you would be able to get 3% cashback with Quidco or Topcashback bringing price down to £2,947 still £203 more than Complete Orlando.

Mmm food for thought
With complete Orlando can you pay a deposit?

Book a hotel or villa only with low deposits from only £75 total
From here:
http://www.completeorlando.co.uk/corp/why-book-with-us.php

Add up the numbers but I suspect you will be like us, it will cost you a little more onsite but you will eat and many new restaurants you have not tried before and stay at Deluxe Resort including their transport and Magical Express if you want it. If you hire a car you get free parking.
There is no way I would pay £200/night for a hotel but throw in free food for 5 people and its got to be a consideration.

With the Beach club what dinning level do you get?
Can you use the dinning as cash value like a dlrp?

Do a dummy booking, it takes seconds to do, when it asks for names email etc just press any keys, email put any@email.com, don't put any of your own details in just any rubbish, for our trip next year (3 weeks OKW & 3 x 21 day tickets) it is saying £236 deposit for hotel & tix. Full amount due 19 May 2012 for 14th July departure.

Yeah just did it, seems like a good deal to me :)
Just would worry about flights.. Seem to be able to get them for 2k this November and still 2k march which is still off peak, hopefully that sort pf price would be good.

Do you think a TA would matcch that?

You can just add the flights when they come out with complete orlando

The depositnis 20% of the tickets and then so much fornthe room, i am lookingfor next year to book with them as its alozt cheaper

Will they just add to the payment, or will you have to pay flights in one lump?

Just another deposit for the flights then its the remainder when the balance is due

Oh not sure as never done it with them before, looking to booking with them for next nov as well and cant do the full amount for flights and dont wanna fly anyone other than virgin

Going to throw in a different point of view on free dining.

We have many times looked at this option but I fail to see how it is actually free when you
a) pay over the top for the room
b) have to pay 18% tips at every place you sit down to eat!

I also think the way that you have to plan every single meal in advance leaves no room for movement of plans.
We have 4 kids and this kid of military style planning would drive me insane.
I was talking to a good friend last week who has just returned from a trip on the dddp and she said that the breakfasts got very momentous after the first few days.
Its a good way to try Disney restaurants but if you look at the menus on www.allears.net do you think your kids will eat much off the menu??

Just trying to add a different view for you to be able to decide what is best for you guys.

For us off site still works out cheaper and suits our family style of touring better.
Hope that helps and hasnt just confused you xxx

Nowhere should be cheaper than direct with Virgin Atlantic, they have a lowest price promise but you have to pay all upfront.

Wayne as you can remember I looked for ages and CO flights and disney hotel was cheaper than booking seperate with VA and disney. Now the flights are cheaper with VA with miles +money but at the time I wanted to book to get free dining for the first 5 nights.
Wish VA did a payment scheme but they dont.

Jesus loves you; PLEASE do not worry too much about the flights in november. Both times I have been the flights have not been full and I remember looking 3 weeks before as a dummy run last year and they were aroung £393 each. I would not hesitate to book your accomodation now if you want to really book but no real rush for that either in my opinion. Wayne has quoted deluxe accomodation you can always look at the moderates as well though you will only get the QSDP. Great price wayne got though for a stunning resort. Good luck.
