I haven't gotten an hotel from priceline yet, but I'll try to answer your question.

You can't pick which resort you'll get, you only choose the general area. When you enter in the city that you want (Orlando is one of the options on the main page), you will then be asked to pick your dates. The next screen has a list of areas and a map of where these areas are located. Once you pick the area you want, the next screen will ask you what quality level you want & how much you want to bid.

Most people bidding in the Orlando area go for 3 or 4 star hotels.

I know some people have had success getting The Swan/Dolphin by bidding a 4 star hotel in the WDW area on Priceline. I think it's been a while since I've heard of anyone getting them but there is always a chance. I think the most often one that comes up is the Mariott Orlando World Center (or something like that).

I used priceline to get a hotel for a week in March. From all of the info I see, Priceline uses pretty good hotels. True you don't know what you'll get, but the idea of priceline is to save money, right. I got the Holiday Inn Nicki Bird Resort for 30 a night. I'm very happy. If I were you, I would just decide...Do I want to save money, or do I spend it on a hotel where less than 1/5 of your vacation will be spent(sleeping).

Just my opinion, of course we all have to have one.
