Just wanted to let everyone know that I got the Doubletree Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach for our night before the cruise on Priceline...$39! Yipppeee!!! So that's still the rate -- you can't beat THAT!! I checked the website and the cheapest room available for my stay was $103. Gotta love it.

We stayed in the MCO area before our cruise for $34! 3* hotel! Isn't Priceline great?

I'd heard about the MCO hotels but didn't even dream about an oceanfront hotel for $39! then I started reading the biddingfortravel.com boards!! Amazing! I am too chicken to use Priceline for WDW though. ::yes::

I have only had an opportunity to use Priceline once but I was so thrilled that I wanted to go somewhere just to bid! We got the Marriott Hotel and Marina, which is what we wanted, for $65 on a Saturday night, school vacation. The best rate I could get without Priceline was $209!

Priceline gives good rates everywhere, but the FL rates seem to be better than most. Enjoy the oceanfront room!!!

When you get back, do post a report at biddingfortravel.com. It will help people down the road.

We stayed there two weeks ago before our cruise and we had also got it for $39.00 thru Priceline....

We thought it very nice for the price but it does not have a hot tub but it does have a nice pool area.

Plus, it is right on the beach!!!

for our Dec. cruise last week for 39.00, my son can't wait for their pool! I did bid for weeks though, just hang tough with your price!

I always used to wonder what the catch was with Priceline, but after using them too many times to count, I absolutely love them. Only once have we ever gotten a bad hotel (there is a sleaze-hole LaQuinta near MCO, not to be confused with the LaQuinta Suites over there), but I just bid at the highest star level and that eliminates them.
We've bid through them for WDW resort hotels, too, always hoping to come up with the Swan or Dolphin. While that has never happened, we've gotten some great Downtown Disney hotels (Hyatt, Hilton, etc.) for around $65. We also got the Gaylord once, and they put us in a premium view room that normally goes for over $200...way less than $100 bidding via William Shatner!
The only thing I've noticed is that our room is almost always a connector (no noise problems tho'), and once we had to take a smoking room when no non-smoking rooms were available. I am very sensitive, but it was at the Marriott and they did a super job cleaning it because I couldn't smell the smoke at all.

After using Priceline to get our stay before the cruise covered, I just bid and won the Renaissance World Gate Orlando for $36 for our one night stay after the cruise!

I am officially hooked on Priceline!! Woo Hoo!!!!
