Priceline to Book Cruise?

We've had some big changes in our family plans for the holidays, so we wanted to look into a last minute DCL trip.

This MORNING, I saw some availability on the DCL website for two of the cruises we wanted, but tonight they're gone! But, when I go to Priceline, they have options listed, and they're much cheaper!

Has anyone used Priceline to book a DCL cruise? Is there a hook? Any problems? I did a search and found a couple of old (2011) posts, but no one responded much back then.

Thanks in advance for the help!

DCL doesn't allow travel agents to discount their cruises. Be sure the price quotes include all the same things. Does the cost on Priceline include port fees & taxes? Or just the actual cruise itself? Is is the exact same category?

We just left the ship this morning after a 5 night cruise, and it was booked through Priceline. Everything went smoothly with no hitches along the way. Our price did look to be cheaper on Priceline even after adding trip insurance and taxes. But, maybe I missed something.

Thanks, Cindyzig. Although I would love to save some $, that's not the most important thing....we would love to just find something that worked! And, it looks full on the DCL site, but spots available through Priceline and Cheapcruises.com

Great to hear that it went smoothly! Thanks for the info!

We booked our first with Priceline and all went great.
