I know somebody here can help me. I want to use priceline to bid on a specific hotel downtown chicago. Is there a way to do that. It looks like I would have to bid on all 4 star hotels and hope that the hotel I actually want accepts the bid, but if it is another hotel I will be stuck with that one. Thanks for your help

No you can't request a specific hotel. You have to take what they give you. You should be fine with a four star and you can narrow it down to the area that you want. I prefer North Michigan Avenue. I got the Millenium Knickerbocker for $90 a night 2 years ago. It was very nice. Chicago hotels are so expensive that the lower price is worth not being able to choose.

Thank you. I want to stay at the hyatt mccormick place for the auto show. I live in the chicago area and could drive myself, but thought it would be nice to stay at this hotel for a night and just walk over to the show. I wish priceline would give me the option to bid on this specific hotel. If they put me in a different hotel I would rather drive.
I'm assuming you can't decline the offer once you put in your cc number?

Thank you for your help I really appreciate it!

Nope - you cannot decline a hotel. Priceline really wasn't intended for people to get exactly the hotel that they want. It was designed as a way for hotels to sell excess inventory.

i second the BiddingForTravel site, i like to use it as a reference point to check out hotels.
