Priceline Deals - Any experiences good or bad?

Hi everyone,

I recently came across a really solid price for a trip to WDW this fall, but I have zero experience with Priceline.com. The resort is the Dolphin, for context. Has anyone ever used that booking site for their trips? If so, can you please elaborate on your experiences and if you ran into any snags or if it was smooth sailing? Any and all insight is appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

There is a Priceline thread on here under the discount codes and rates tab where you can get lots of info. I have used Priceline in the past with no issues. They do add their own fees, so be sure to compare that when looking at the final prices. You also may have to call the Disney Wholesale line to add children to the reservation which I have done with no issues.

I've booked both PLE and HW successfully several times and have scored some really nice deals and experienced no problems checking in or anything.

As @Laurieannc mentions, you do have to call wholesale to add children/other guests. I had to do this once, but it was just an add-on night to the rest of our stay and we weren't using DME so I added the additional person on the reservation when we got to the resort. Others have reported having trouble adding on their children - Priceline refers them to wholesale and wholesale refers back to Priceline. Someone recently posted on the PLE thread they had no problems though.

The Priceline thread is awesome, lots of helpful and knowledgeable people

Thanks so much. This place always comes through!

Thank you!

I have booked through PL many times without having any issues. However, for the Swan/Dolphin, I often find better deals booking through Marriott directly. I usually reserve a room from Marriott (refundable) and then watch the prices between the Marriott website and PL. Just make sure you are looking at the total cost with the resort fees/taxes.

I do think that demand this Fall will be different than normal, as people want to travel with the new eased up restrictions. So I would at least reserve something when you see what you consider a decent deal.
