Do your research on biddingfortravel to make sure that the S+D are even coming up for your timeframe. They seem to come up for a while, then disappear for a while, they pop back up. We managed to get the Swan for $59/night for 2 nights in May via Priceline, but I bid back in Feb. when the S+D were still showing up. The Gaylord Palms has been showing up on biddingfortravel recently, though, and that looks like a VERY nice resort
Thanks Crissy,,,,I really wanted to stay on site, don't dare take the chance I guess again .. You got a great deal! Actually I had booked recently thru priceline, but got Wyndham Palace, and they let me cancel it because of a special policy (due to the war) for a fee of ten per nite.
Don't forget about Hotwire! I was rejected for all resorts in WDW bidding up to $83 on Priceline. I tried Hotwire and got the Dolphin for $84 in mid March. Hotwire had it as a 4*.
Yes - according to SwanDolphin that was temporary again for Priceline.
I'm not familiar with Hotwire, but are you eligible for any of S/D's other discounts such as Nurse, teacher, gov't? Even 50% off if you have an Entertainment book?
I gave up and booked at Beach Club Villa over in Epcot using my DVC pts. But I really wanted to try the S&D....Ill keep that in mind, maybe call ahead to see if they are currently on Priceline, Hotwire....etc. as I am planning to go sometime in August before school starts. The best price I got was the Govt rate which is the same as the teachers rate of 129.00 which isnt bad but then I see folks like Mom2 getting it for 83.00,,,,wow....hurts to pay more than that LOL Thanks
