Price to pay for pool heating?

I don't know that we'll need or want it in late June, but the guy who owns the place we are renting wants $135 a week for heating? Seems excessive to me... by at least $75.

What is a fair price? Or, what have you paid?

When I was looking at renting off-site, there were charges at $25/day and $125/week. $135 seems a little expensive and I'm not sure you'd need it in June but I haven't been down in FL in June in a long time. Good luck!

It's hot in Florida, hot and humid... and IMHO you'd be better off paying for someone to come by and toss ice cubes in the pool for you.

Sorry... I am Canadian and can't get myself into cool water fast enough if I am in FL as of May. The cooler the better. That said, we found our unheated pool just a bit too chilly for a long evening soak in late Nov. We learned, and spent the $$ on heat during our second Nov visit. Some of the vacation rental sites are nice enough to tell you that pool heat is recommended Nov - April, which would lead me to the conclusion it really is not required for the other months, unless someone is extremely sensitive and adversely affected by cooling down in water.

I was thinking the same as you. Why would we need it? All I can imagine is that maybe at night it might be nice.

$135 isn't excessive considering that the cost of utilities have risen by 25% this year alone from some companies .In June it is a personal thing -I would have it because I'm a wimp and don't like the cold.
