Price of DDP & DDE for DVC

Can anyone please share the price for DVC memebers
* DDP (adult and child)
* DDE (is it annual)

Do you need an annual pass for either... or is DVC enough of a qualifier.

The Disney Dining Experience is not a DVC perk. It's an AP perk. So you must have an AP or PAP to purchase the card. It used to be $50 a card, but I think it has gone up to about $60 0r $70 for the first card. This card is good for about 13 months. It is also a FL resident perk.

The Disney Dining Plan can be purchased by DVC members staying on points at DVC resorts. There is no requirement to purchase tickets with the plan. It costs about $37 per guest 10+ and maybe $15 per guest 3-9. It must be purchased for all guests staying in the villa for the entire stay. This is only good for the stay that you purchase it, from check in until midnight of the day that you check out. You will get 1 table service, one counter service and one snack per person. You must notify MS prior to arrival at the DVC resort and you pay for it when you check in.

The DDE is $60 and requires an AP to purchase. DDP costs $37.99 per adult and $10.99 for children (3 to 9) per night of your ressie, everyone in the room must be on the plan.

This brings up a question.. did anyone else have to pay a tax and a resort fee when they checked in in additioin to the 37.99 per adult? We just did the plan at Saratoga for 2 adults and those 2 fees were added and I had not heard it mentioned here? For 5 nights our total was $433.00 not $379.99.

That is strange. We just stayed at the BWV last week for 12 nights. 2 adults @ $37.99 each. Our total was $911.76 and that was the exact amount we were charged when we checked in.

I sort of looked at your figures and thought, wow, the difference seems to be about $10.99 times 5 nights (did you accidently get charged for 5 nights of children's dining too?) Did your card say 2A1C (2 adults 1 child). I would look into it, because you were overcharged.

It was weird when the 4 of us checked into OKW on 4/27. We had the plan for 4 nights. At first the cm said the total was $481.48, which would be around $120 each. We said no, that can't be right, we figured around $152 each (4 nights x $37.99). So another cm came over and keyed something in and said it was $151.96 each, which was right.

But I was just looking at my express checkout paper, it shows:

Resort Tax...........................$2.20
Dining Reservation.................$121.28 (which was the adjustment)
Payments.............................$607.84

I don't know where the $2.88 and $2.20 came from but it added up right ($37.99 x 4 nights x 4 people).

One thing I did not see mentioned here is that the DDE is not available for use during certain holidays and peak times of the year. For example, we aare going the 4th of July and New Years Eve/New Years Day this year. At both of those time of the year the DDE is not allowed to be used. I think its pretty much all the major holidays.

True, but it is just the day itself that is not available. We were there over New Years, and just NYE and NYD were excluded. We used it the rest of the trip.

That really does not seem right. I think you may have been overcharged. It seems like you were charged for 2 adults and 1 child, not just 2 adults.

Here's what it says on our "Folio" None of these numbers make any sense now that I look more closely... I'll be calling the billing question number this morning as soon as they open. I wonder how many other unknowing DVC member are being over charged and did not say anything as I did?
