I have seen 2 totally different price points in various places - I have seen "Starting at $2950" and then "Starting at $4500" on various sites for Escape Weddings. Which of these is valid? I am assuming that it's the $4500 - that's where I have started with my budget - but I would be oh so happy if it were lower! lol

$4500 for a wedding not at the wedding pavilion
$5500 for a wedding at the Wedding pavilion

I got that out of lurkyloo's Passporter DFTW book. HTH

We booked our Escape wedding in early February and the cost (without any enhancements) is $4500. We are having our wedding at Sunrise Terrace at WL.

*Sigh*

Well it's still worth it! And I WAS budgeting for the minimum $4500 before I saw the following post online:

http://www.wdisneyw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55948

It quotes the price much lower so kind of got my hopes up...darn Google for bringing me to a forum other than DisBoards!

That post is a couple years old and the prices do go up every year. I think that was the 2006 starting price. Last year they went to $4000 and added the AP's for Escape weddings. Then this year they went to $4500.

Not to be a downer- but just so you have all the information... Look at the rest of the things too while you are budgeting- like TAX! It really adds on a lot (like a good thousand dollars or more in most cases!) and the cost of the photo cd, or any other extras! Check out the DFTW site for more info:)

there are other add-ons. if you're having more then 6 you'll need more champaine or other beverage. if you're having bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, you'll need flowers for them. Photo cd if you want that. Check out disneyweddings.go.com and play with the wishbook (while not all prices are right, it will help you ballpark a good budget) prices don't include the tax and service charge.

Oh believe me I have heard about the addon fees - luckily I want a pretty bare bones ceremony! Luckily I am on DisBoards daily, and most people have said to factor all of that in - I also have to factor in the Canadian Currency conversion as well :( So I'm looking at way more than an extra $1000 when it comes to it all being said and done!

Thanks so much for the info though - I really appreciate it!

Just to clarify, there is no tax or service charge on the cost of the basic Escape package. Where that comes in is when you start to add things or upgrade. :thumbsup2

Thanks for that! I had actually over-budgeted then - I thought I read in previous posts that the 21% and 6% were on top of the $4500 basic pkg. I plan to do a few add-ons, but at least now I can plan my budget better!

By the way lurkyloo whenever I am depressed at the strict budget that I have to put myself on for the next year to pay for this wedding all I have to do is look at your photos and it makes a Dis Wedding seem all worth it! Your wedding pics are the most beautiful I have ever seen!

Wow - what a sweet thing to say! :goodvibes I'm just glad to be able to get the word out that a Disney wedding can be affordable!
