Soooo since I already purchased my tix for my October trip and now the prices are changing do I have to pay the extra when it goes up??

As long as there is no expiration date on the ticket that has passed, it should be fine. (and I think they might only do the expiration date on AP vouchers)

Most tickets have a use by date. Currently the 2 free day tickets must be used by Sept 30 and the regular tickets must be used by Jan 4, 2010. So as long as you didn't buy the 2 free days, then you'll be fine.

Did I miss something? Has DLR announced a price hike for admission tickets? I was going to buy the Costco AP deal later this month.

The last I heard was the announcement that DW is raising their prices, which generally means that DL will follow suit shortly. At this point it is anticipated rather than certain, from what I know.

Has DL changed their ticket policy? Last time I looked into it, DL tickets only increase in price once a year but are only good for that year.

Where as WDW tickets increase in price multiple times a year but the ticket is good indefinitely as long as it hasn't been used.

I'd better hurry and buy our park tickets then, we are leaving next month! $179 pp is the price I hope to pay for the buy 3, get 2 free deal...I'm not going through any company, I booked the hotel myself to get a better rate.

Hmmm - we are going Thanksgiving week (well right before Thanksgiving and then leaving the Wednesday before). Wonder if I should purchase soon - we are AAA members - is that the best/cheapest route to go? I've been to WDW numerous times but this till be our first trip to Disneyland so I feel like such a novice.

There has been no announcement at WDW of ticket price increases. There has been a rumor started on a site other than DisBoards.

I don't know that much about DLR, but at WDW if you have purchased a pacakage which includes tickets the only way your price can be increased is if there is an increase in the tax rate.

Normally Ticket Price increases always go into effect on a Sunday. The earliest Disney will usually announce the increases is late on a Friday afternoon.

The only people who know in advance are some managers and high level people, the programmers for the ticketing computers, and the people who make signs and printed materials.

Often many of us who sell tickets find out when we come in and find that the prices on our terminals are changed, and the sheets we have in the booths to show Guests their choices are new.

I read it on a very reliable Disney site that always posts straight fast that come August 3rd prices are rising by just a couple bucks

But were they talking about DL or WDW? The tickets for the two resorts are done differently.

Either way, if you have already bought tickets for DL and you are going before the expiration date on the back, then you have nothing to worry about.

This is the quote I got "looks like price increases at both Disneyland and WDW will happen on Monday, August 3rd. Nobody is expecting anything major, just a few dollars here and there, including Annual Passes."

But any major change at WDW is always on a Sunday. That is the start of the payroll week and also the company uses a 52-53 week fiscal year, with each period starting on a Sunday. Any time there has been a price change it has always started on a Sunday, so if they are talking about a Monday being the change date they are clearly wrong.

And I work in Guest Services at one of the Parks at WDW (and have for four years).
