Preview of the WOD store - 6/7 with photos

Thanks for posting this Carrie.

I wonder what the opening hours will be? Will it be midnight (or around that time) like the rest of the DV? I'd love to be able to have a good browse around in November but don't want it to eat into park time as we are only there a short time - so plan to visit late in the evening (once the park is closed) if it's still open :). We have babysitters this trip so DH and I might even manage a few cheeky drinks in the DV too :thumbsup2.

I'm really hoping they introduce a lot more exclusive merchandise :cool1:. But as an aside, the building just looks amazing :goodvibes.

ETA - I recall seeing the potato head stuff too - was it at the very back of Lilly's Boutique nearest the arcade?

I'm hearing 9.00 - 1.00 am but unconfirmed.

It will be open at least as late as the rest of DV anyway.

Re the items inside the vast majority is exactly the same as found across the parks and the shops in DV. Wether it will diversify more or stay that wayI don't know, I hope that it will :confused3

Oh wow thanks for posting Carrie! I told myself I wouldn't be spending much this trip, we're staying at HNY again this time so nightly walks through the village will be too much temptation :p

Thank you for confirming times Carrie - well sort of, being as late as the rest of the DV is fine for us.

Shame they aren't stocking more LE/unique stuff though - would have thought that was what it was about! :confused3 Hopefully it will change as time goes on. The only pro of having the generic stuff there is the fact it's under one roof rather than spread through the park, as not all shops stock all the ranges there so you can end up going to several shops.

I sometimes wonder who is running DLRP at the moment and I'd love to know the budget they are running to :scared:!

Anyone know whats going to happen with the old store?
They could do with a new restaurant in DV ;)

Part of it is already reopened as a Christmas shop and the rest of it will be reopening with childrens stuff (clothes, toys, games) on Thursday normally if it doesn't change again :)

im lookin forward to the christmas shop - hope theres a good selection as we r in need of more decs and there was limited selection in the castle shop :(

The Christmas shop sounds good. I read somewhere there were rumours of another Princess type restaurant but I doubt that is true - still, it would give another chance to see Princesses rather than queuing for 2 hours at the PP ;).

I went into the Christmas shop in the Castle in June to ask about the usual annual baubles to be told they don't do them :faint:. I must have 3 that never existed on my Christmas tree each year then :lmao:.

I think they could do waaay better on their Christmas supplies and it's a place they could make much more money. I have seen some of the goodies they sell in the US and they have sooo much (and they barely celebrate Christmas compared to Europe as Thanksgiving is bigger for them!).

I must tell my Mam and MIL thats theirs are a figment of their imagination too! :rotfl2:

A Christmas shop is lovely and all but the Castle shop could be adequate for this use - they could really have used the space to do something new and different. Oh well.
And a kids shop... but I'm sure everything it holds will also be available across the road in WOD.

I say that but yet I guarantee I will spend hours looking around them :rotfl:

Thanks for the info

Ha ha - I even spoke to them in my rubbish French and they still said they understood but didn't ever sell them :lmao:. I gave up - hoping to pick up in November instead ;).

Yes, I too spend hours looking at the same things in all the shops! Still, I'm a woman - it's my prerogative! :rotfl2: If you are anything like me, I look and say I'll go back and get later in the holiday and then promptly forget where I saw it - end up trundling along in each shop until I find said item again! :rotfl:

THATS ME THATS ME!!!! This seems to be the story of my life!! I swore I saw a Woody costume for around €20, two days later and every shop tried and ummm they didn't exist

I went yesterday and had a look and yes it's very beautiful and all visually but the merchandise doesn't change much from what you can get in the rest of the park or the DV

There's a small amount of exclusives but nothing like I hoped for.

And for DLPDreams ;) Opening hours for all the DV shops are 9.00 - 00.00 according to new signs we saw up yesterday :)

Thanks for double checking Carrie_Cat :thumbsup2.

I saw the bags there and at Disney Clothiers. Nowhere else for some reason.

I love the funky mugs:goodvibes DS(12) loves the platypus so I think I can guess what he'll be spending his euros on:rolleyes1
