Well hello my fellow DisBoarders my name is Kyle :flower3: I am so excited for the upcoming trip and decided I will do a trip report.

Let me give you a bit of background about the cast of this trip.

ME! Kyle I'm 25 and have worked at all kinds of jobs from movie extra (background motion blur in film and television), an intern at a Creature F/X shop (I helped make monsters :) actually I mostly cleaned the molds of the monsters after we cast silicone, bartender, musician, server, and library desk assistant extraordinaire! I love Disney I was certified by the National Restaurant association so I also know my way around a kitchen! Translation=I love food

Kate 24. She is a free spirit of sorts. A free lance artist and wonderfully talented! I met her many years ago and I couldn't stand her but, I guess time has a way of changing things so jump forward to the present and I love her more than anything in this world. I was lucky enough to bring her down to Orlando for her first trip in 2009

Right now she is dealing with allot; the loss employment, a mother with terminal cancer, friend betrayal, and much uncertainty.

When there is much worry in your life or at least in mine its time to regroup and escape the sometime harshness of reality so I suggested a trip. I gave her options and she said "how about Disney World"; I knew there was a reason I fell in love with this woman. :) I didn't need convincing so off I went many moons ago to create an unforgettable getaway where she could relax, regroup, and reflect. Spa Treatments are scheduled.

The dates were decided August 28-September 3 and as soon as possible so was the food! DXDP first time.

Here is a list of restaurants that will receive a review for all to delight in upon my return.

Victoria & Albert's Queen Victoria Room-This time I bought a new suit so I know the pants fit and I don't have to cancel the reservations. After this trip I may have to buy another pair :goodvibes Really excited to try this.

Brown Derby-I love this place!

Flying Fish Cafe-Never been

Via Napoli-Never been here either!

Le Cellier (Dinner) So what if the filet is salty I will just pick the salmon :) and this is our first time here ever

Boma- Breakfast again first time

Jiko-First time also

Breakfast Room Service- First time but those are pricy eggs

Raglan Road-Bread Pudding is a must and I have been here

Sanaa-Never been here heard mixed reviews I'll get to the bottom of this and report my findings

California Grill-How can you hate this place? I haven't been here since 2004 when I saved up and took my grandmother to WDW

And lastly don't forget the 12 snack credits.

Well that is the Meat and potatos(and future dole whips) of the upcoming trip.

I also enter Publishers Clearing House everyday and if I win it would be Aug 29 so if I win(which I will!, positive thinking ;) ) I will also report that.

I am sorry to report that I will not have photos but I assure you I am wordy enough to make up for it.

So there it is.

I hope you will enjoy the upcoming reviews and make use of them.

Regards,
Kyle

We will be there at the same time (8/25 thru 9/5) and are eating at many of the same places! Will be curious to read your reviews as I am writing mine upon our return!

We're leaving in exactly 1 month from N.J. Been gettin hungry reading all the menus! Most of our DDP restaurants are in Epcot, so we'll often be eating table service meals twice a day! We'll all be soooo stuffed, but I still can't wait!!

My sister and I will be there during this time as well! Looking forward to your dining review. I'll read yours if you read mine:rotfl2:! I do plan to do a dining report as well and I see that we're eating at some of the same places. Let's hope for weather that isn't so hot that we can't enjoy our ADRs!

The World is a truly great place to go to put Real Life aside, without leaving the comnforts of civilization.

That's a great dining list. Will you be staying at the Animal Kingdom Resort?

Yes I will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I am so excited too. I am blessed to have the means to save up enough to take this trip so I am simply so excited. Tracerr00 I can guarantee I'll be reading your reviews :) GoofySon'sMom Have fun! We may pass each other and not even know it. If you pass some art snob types its probably us :rotfl2:

I always have two trips to Disney the imaginary one while I'm planning and then the real one which is exciting.

AKL is awesome!
Enjoy perusing the websites for the lodge and it's excellent dining establishments. It's where I learned to love South African wines.

If you get a Safari view for your room, try to get one away from the "people pens", or at least one on a higher floor.

I'll be reading!

A big hug to your girlfriend, Kate. It sounds like she's going through a lot.

Thanks guys! And thank you JerseyJanice.

I my rating system will be simple 1-10 system 1 is flat terrible and 10 will be best of the best.

We did book a savannah room :) and somehow I ended up speaking with Meg Crofton (before the big promotion :cool1: ) She called the bosses at AKL and they called us and left me a mesage saying "Hi Kyle I just am calling to assure you we have selected a glorious room with a view of the Savannah" Well yay! I am super excited.

I can't wait for V&A but it did take some planning as I am not a suit kind of guy and Kate is not a cocktail dress kind of lady. It took some doing just to prepare for the dress code but I hear its good and I think indulgence is the name of the game at WDW

42 days until Deluxe Dining and our first stay outside of the Value resorts.

Kyle :dance3:

We will be there the same time, staying at the same hotel and eating at most of the same restaurants. If you listed the places in order, we may see you several times. Will be interested in seeing what you think.

Due to some unforeseeable situations meals have changed. Victoria and Alberts was nixed from my list as a the love of my life ended up on the street with nothing to eat and no where to stay, a very complicated situation indeed! So I cut out spa treatments, hair, and V&A to give her a bit of money to keep her on her feet as she is out looking for work in a hard economic time.

The new list is as follows.

Sanaa
Jiko

Via Napoli
La Hacienda De San Angel

50's Primetime
Yachtsman Steakhouse

Yak & Yeti
Artist Point

Boma
Brown Derby (Fantasmic Package)

The Wave
California Grill

Boma round 2!

Thats the new list and I am so excited.

So here we are leaving on Sunday. Irene should be out of the way and I will be "Walking Right Down the Middle of Main Street U.S.A" :)

I am so excited for my first trip in two years and send all my love to everyone.

Updates when I get back.

Kyle
