Does anyone know anything--good or bad about Prestige Towncars? They were the cheapest company I found (only $80.00 round trip to any WDW resort--including the MK resorts which alot of the other companies charge extra for). According to their web site they charge no extra airport or resort fees and have one set price $80.00 for all WDW resorts. I booked them online and within a few minutes they e-mailed me my confirmation number. They didn't even ask me for a credit card--their site says the driver will meet you at baggage pickup to help with your luggage and just pay him when you get to your resort, at which time he will verify pickup information for your return trip to the airport. My only problem is that I've been looking on the other sites and can't seem to find out anything about them. I've only read one review on them where someone said they were great and even got a free upgrade to a limo. Does anyone know anything about them--good or bad?

We used them last month and will be using them next month. They were GREAT! Our driver was Raphel - very nice and prompt. My husband (who is very critical) requested that I make sure we have him again

We used them in August. Raphael was great, prompt and courteous. We will definitely use them again.

Do you have their website? I can't find them.

Thanks,

Their website is: www.prestigetowncar.com. I was just concerned because you hear so much about Tiffany's, Happy Limo, Quicksilver, and some of the other companies, but you don't ever hear anything about Prestige. I just wonder why? Quicksilver was going to charge me over $100.00 to go to the WL and Tiffany's was $95.00. I was leaning toward Quicksilver because of all the good reviews (I've been reading quite a few bad reviews lately on Tiffanys) but why pay over $100.00 when I can pay $80.00? (That $20.00 would take care of the driver's tip.) I wonder if I can ask specifically for Raphael? My other concern is that we're doing a split stay and will need to be dropped off at WL, but picked up at AKL. I would sure hate for them to get confused.

When we used them. We were taken from airport to Royal Pacific. Midweek Raphael picked us up and took us to Pop Century and at the end he collected us from Pop Century and took us back to the airport. There weren't any problems with any of the three pick-ups.

Are they a tiny company or what? Is Raphael the only driver? (hehe--just kidding). I went back and checked on the other site and Raphael was the driver mentioned there too.

Can't answer your question. I can only tell you we had a great experience with them.

When looking at the e-mail Prestige sent me, I realized the flight times and the departure time for the return trip was correct. However we are doing a split trip and will need to be delivered to WL, but picked up at AKL. This was not noted in the e-mail confirmation I received. I thought this would be a good excuse to talk to a real person and a chance to see if I could request Raphael as a driver. Imagine my surprise when Raphael was the one who answered the phone. He assured me that being dropped off at one resort and being picked up at another would not be a problem and checked to make sure I had included it under 'comments'. He assured me it was there (just hadn't been posted on my e-mail). He was very nice, but since he was the one who answered the phone I didn't know how to request him as a driver. By the way I posted this same question on another board and got positive reports there also about how great and how cheap Prestige is. Apparently everyone who uses them loves them--I didn't get even one bad report back.

We used them in October and had a great experience with them. They handled the luggage and were very prompt. We also did a grocery store stop. I'll use them again when not renting a car.

How do I get ahold of them. We are staying at okw in disney. I need to get my inlaws from Bradenton, FL to Disney. It is just one way. Unfortunatly my father inlaw can't drive that distance himself, he tires to easily and my mother in law is to nervous. I was thinking that this might be a good solution for them if it is not to expensive.

Their website is www.prestigetowncar.com and their phone number is 1-800-769-8227. I booked them online, so I could get their $5.00 off coupon and they e-mailed me my confirmation number and instructions along with my flight verification within just a few minutes. When I spoke to them a few days later on the phone to verify the grocery stop and that I would need to be dropped off at one resort, but picked up at another, they seemed very nice.

But is it worth it for 2? We are trying to do a budget trip, but we kind of like the idea of riding back and forth by ourselves, rather than taking the Mears shuttles.

The price difference is less than $30 if you're not counting tip...

It would be to me. I'm also making a solo trip to WDW in May and Dec (as well as taking my other son and D-I-L in Sept. I plan on using a towncar every time. I want the 30 minute grocery stop and even if I didn't, I like the idea of a driver waiting at baggage claim holding a card with my name on it and being there to help with the luggage. I like the idea of having a nice, large, quiet car all to ourselves that can go straight to my hotel. I don't like the idea of having to look for a Mears van in a crowded airport, fighting for space on an overcrowded van, waiting 30 min or so for it to fill up, being crowded into it like sardines, and then having it make half a dozen stops before it gets to my hotel. I researched Mears as well as the towncar companies and decided I would rather pay more for a towncar. Because we're staying at a MK resort, the other towncar companies were going to charge extra for a resort fee. Prestige is not, which is why I chose to go with them. Since then I've been asking about them on some other sites and so far have not heard even one negative report. The only other company I've not head anything bad about is QuickSilver, but they were going to charge me over $100.00 to go to the WL.

we celebrated our 25th annivrsary in oct and as a surprise for my DH i had booked Prestig

everything was great

Ray was at baggage pick up and was very nice and easy to talk to.

the rate included all tolls (the only extra was the tip) and grocery stop which was at Publix.

my DH was so surprised and impressed he was speechless!!!!

I was exceptily pleased since this was the first time we took a towncar and second since I planned it myself. (well except for all the help I got from the great people on this board I couldn't have done it without you!!)

we'll for sure use them again

That's what sold my fiancee on the idea, as well. And I think it is worth the extra money to keep it relaxed and not have to fight crowds until i get to the magic kingdom! :3dglasses
