Can we use canadian pennies for the machine? If not, do you know where I can get a roll? Also, where do I store them? Can you recommend one?

Thanks a lot

I have seen canadian pennies go into pressed pennie machines, though people say the machines that look exactly like the ones I saw won't take them.

Anyway if you ask at a register they may be able to give up a roll, since they may have them for change.

I take a ziplock with me but only take a bunch of pennies each time, because them with twice as many quarters adds wieght to my pockets.

Also some machines press nickels or dimes, but there are only a few like this.

One of my favorite tips I've gotten from these boards is to get 2 empty M&M plastic tubes. One you fill before you leave with quarters & nice new pennies. The other you bring to put all your pressed pennies in until you can later put them into the books!!:)

We have been pulling U.S. pennies and quarters out of our change from stores for the last 3 months.
I have more pennies then I want to count and over $10 in quarters!

I suggest using a medicine bottle - that way it has a lid - it's small and can hold quarters AND pennies stacked together in the exact amounts that you need (quarters to operate the machine - and the penny to be pressed!)

The mini M&M tubes will hold 20 quarters and 20 pennies. I stacked them 2 quarters and 1 penny, over-and-over.

The Mentos tubes are perfect to place your pressed pennies in and bring back to your resort later and transfer into a book.
