Presidents Day Week airfare 2013

Ok what are my chances of getting decent airfare out of Boston that week. We are looking at going next February school vacation. IM hoping to book flight as soon as they come out but it really depends on the prices... Anyone ever get a food fare out of Boston booking that week..?

We could not get a good fare out of Boston for next week. Everything was over $800 roundtrip. Even tried, PVD, BDL and MHT as well.

What I did find was a $260 roundtrip ticket out of Worcester on Direct Air. It's a charter and flies to Sanford non-stop. You won't be able to use ME but you will save a bundle on the flights.

We have found that, from Detroit, flights to LAX or SNA during those winter vacation weeks when everyone is trying to get to Florida are often much more affordable. The weather in Anaheim isn't quite as nice at that time of year, but there isn't any snow! The same might be true from BOS; something to keep in mind.

OP is asking about airfare for next year - 2013.

OP - I suggest that you start checking airfares for Feb 2013 as soon as they are released. In this case, you should probably buy as soon as possible. You might want to check one of the fare predictor websites.

Actually, I think OP is asking if anyone has ever had luck with fares out of Boston for President's Week over the years; not if anyone has had luck with 2013 fares.

We were going to drive but then about a month ago Direct Air offered a half off sale. Just a thought for next year. And knowing how expensive parking is at Logan, at Worcester you can park for $42 for the week.

Thanks for the responses!! Yes Worcester is SOOO much cheaper and it is about 20 minutes away...where Boston is about an hour.. I may take a look at the prices for Delta..ect and if they are too high Ill wait for Jet Blue or Direct AIr Specials to come out... Just nervous about Worcester. Ive heard they constantly delay because of wind/fog.
