Presidential Reserve @ WBC Question

Thanks to all of you I am looking to book a 3BR Presidential at WBC. I had never heard of the hotel before these boards so many thanks!

Vacation Strategies is about $500 cheaper on a 2 week stay over Vacation Upgrades.

My hesitation with Vacation Strategies is they are not offering any guarantee as to location of room. Also, do not like their policy of not transferring the reservation to you until a week before arrival. That will drive me crazy with concern.

However, they are saying it is no problem, they can get the room and I can do a Monday to Monday stay.

Vacation Upgrades seem so much easier to work with so far. I believe they are saying they can guarantee a Reserve Suite which I would love. But they are saying that mid-week arrivals are tricky for Presidential suites and it would work best with a Sunday arrival. With a Sunday arrival I'll need two reservations but with a Monday arrival we'd need 3.

Is that true and I should listen to them? If so it seems like VS are just telling me what I want to hear to get my business. I do not want to set myself up for disappointment.

Does anyone have any experience with guaranteeing a reserve vs regular suite?

Or with a Sunday vs Monday arrival? We planned to arrive the Monday after Thanksgiving. I'm hesitant to arrive on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend which should be a very busy travel day.

All 3 bdrm presidential units are in Tower 6 so I am not sure what you meant bynot being guaranteed a location. We booked a 3 bdrm pres. with VS for 9 night, did need two reservation, and had no problems. They are a reputable company and you shouldn't worry. Take the better price for the days that you want and book with VS. We have nothing but positive things to say about WBc and VS.

That was what I thought in regards to the location of the P. Suites. But then Ken from VU said:

standard presidential suites (top floor of Towers 1-5 and floors 11-15 of Tower 6)

VS (and this board) had said all P. Suites were Tower 6 floors 11-15 with the reserve units on the top floors.

So then I was confused!

They were probably talking about the four bedroom presidential units. I know the last time we stayed in a four bedroom it was in tower one I think. When we stayed there in October we were in a two bedroom presidential and I know they said that they were all in tower six. Hope that helps!

All of the 3BR are in Tower 6 as far as I know. My family stays in 2-3BR Pres. depending on whether the in-laws join us or not. When you reserve you Pres., you are assigned a room number when you make the reservation. So when you book your stay, you should be given a room assignment right away. However, I do not know the practices of VS or VU. Regardless, whenever they actually make the reservation, you will have a room assignment right then if booking a Pres. Suite. I would recommend discussing the specific needs/wants you have beforehand. They will be able to see exact room numbers available when they check the database.

I have been told there is a possibility that the room assignment might be changed by the resort, but it has never happened to me personally.

On a side note, Utopia World Vacations has been my cheapest rate for Presidential with the exception of 5starresorts one year. Last year, I got a quote from VS for the first time and their rate was a couple hundred more for the week.

We reserved 2 different 2 bedroom presidentials for a large family group via Vacation Strategy arriving the Monday before Thanksgiving. We did not get our room assigments ahead of time but had no problems whatsoever upon arrival. One room was a 6 night stay, the other 7 nights. Both arrived Monday.
