Last year I made ice hands for my punch bowl. I simply filled a bunch of non latex non powdered gloves with spring water and froze them. Then i stuck them in warm water to loosen the glove and cut them free. I slid them into my punch bowl filled with apple cider.
I made little sandwiches in the shape of pumpkins and i even went so far as to make the bread orange. ( i have a bread maker so it wasn't that big a deal, just added a little food coloring. )
We had regular food at the party.. the only thing that i really did as far as halloween food was the desserts.
I made pumpkin cookies and bat brownies. I had little tiny pumpkin pies in foil cupcake liners. (so easy to make.. i used a nilla wafer for the crust and added my already mixed libby's pie filling. and decorated them on top like jackolanterns using a little stencil and cinnamon. Lastly rice krispie treats in the shape of leaves, in all different fall colors. ( warning.. these were a little messy lol)
As far as activities, we didn't do much. We have our party the night of the halloween parade. We had a pumpkin hunt in the yard. I used the mini pumpkins for that and then I did let the kids decorate them afterwards, but that was about it.
Since my party is more focused around the parade, I am more focused on decorating and food.

lol have fun and good luck
