Looking for information on the Premium View vs. Woods-Courtyard View in the Grand Californian Hotel.

Have looked through the site and think I have a pretty good feel of what we would get with the Woods-Courtyard View, but still not too clear on what to expect with the Premium View.

We are seriously considering staying for 4 of our 5 nights :goodvibes (no way could we do the Sat night, So our first night we will stick with the Tropicana)

With an additional 15% off on Orbitz the Premium is only $70 more for the entire stay. (Orbits does not have the Woods view available)

This is a BIG once in a lifetime splurge so I don't I don’t want to cheap out over the 70 bucks, but 70 dollars is still a lot of money so I want to understand what it would get us.
Also, do the rooms have fridges and microwaves?

Premium views are higher floors...4, 5, 6 (where there is a 6)

Worth it for 5 nights.

do it, i did it for my upcoming trip spending $400/nite vs $370!

$70 is worthwhile for a 4 night stay :thumbsup2

Staying off-site for the first night can be very advantageous
This would allow you to check-in very early at the Grand. I would recommend checking in at 6AM (certainly before 7AM). Early in the morning there will be no other guests waiting, allowing you to spend more time with the registration CM :goodvibes
You will also be able to take advantage of EMH on your check-in day.

All rooms have small refrigerators. but only Villas (DVC timeshare) have microwaves.

I am so excited about this splurge I have butterflies :p

I will do just that and check in early, take advantage of the EMH, and see if the CM can assist with getting us a nice view.

We are hoping for a room with bunks, a balcony, and a Paradise Pier view.

What do all think is the best view request for a 'Premium View' room?
