Premium Annual Pass Question

Hey all,

I purchased new PAP's when special pricing was offered earlier in the year. My current PAP's expire on 8/21. We arrive on 8/18. Do we have to wait until 8/21 to add the new PAPs to our MagicBands or can we do it when we arrive?

Just to be clear: These are new PAP vouchers not renewals, in case that makes a difference.

Since this is a voucher for a new PAP, the expiration date is supposed to be based on the date of exchange. If you don't do it on 8/21, I'm not sure if the CM will (or can) set it to expire one year after your current pass expires (if that matters to you).

Our new vouchers allowed us to link them to our account in mydisneyexperience, then when we used them that was the date the clock started for our year.

Since you bought new tickets, the voucher information can be linked to your account, then when you are ready to link them to your magic band just use your mydisneyexperience account.

We have multiple bands and can link or unlink individual tickets, annual passes and Premium Annual Passes as long as they are assigned to an individual in your party and have not been used.

If you set up your MB using the PAP voucher, the year will begin on the date you activate the PAP (8/18). If you wait until 8/22 when your current pass expires, you will get your year's use thru 8/22/15. Unless the additional 4 days are critical for your 2015 planning, I'd just go ahead and link the new PAP to the MB and get everything scheduled using that PAP.

Sounds like a nice "problem" to have.
