Premier vs Preferred

Before I make my reservations, I was wanting to hear more about the difference between the preferred and the premier sites. We have an 36ft RV but also wanted to pitch a small tent. Can anyone tell me the main diffferences in that respect?

The preferred sites have a sand area in the back of each site. Some are small, some are large. This would be ideal for setting up a tent. The preferred sites are located in Loops 100, 200, and 300. Loop 300 allows pets.

The premium sites are all longer and wider and are all concrete. You "might" be able to set up a tent in the back corner by staking down 3 corners off the edge of the concrete and weighting down the rest of the stake points.

The Premium loops are, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400.

Preferred and Premium have water, electric, sewer, cable.

If having a comfort station nearby is important to you, please note that 600 and 700 do not actually have a comfort station in the loop. you have to go over to 800 which is nearby, but in my opinion still too far.

You also might want to consider a full hook up if one is available. They tend to be larger then the preferred and have the sand/shell area behind the concrete pad for pitching a tent. They include electric, water, sewer, and cable tv. It might look like the full hook ups a further away, but they are really aren't. They are closer to the outpost and the preferred are closer to the marina. I would say both are about the same distance to the pool, movies, trading post, etc. We always bring our bikes and bike everywhere.

We books a preferred site because we wanted to be as close as possible to the boat launch. We didn't want to have to rent a golf cart. We stayed in loop 300 and it was fantastic! Lots of room to pitch a tent on the gravel pad at the back of each site.
