Pregnant youtuber denied boarding on Disney Cruise

Well there's comments from other people who were there and witnessed it.
Shockingly it seems she 'accidentally' missed out the part the her family played in it....I don't know why...

Now that story sounds much more realistic.

I expect they may have booked this before they knew she was prenant and when they did the match figured they would be close and so decided that they should still be allowed on if they got a doctors note (she knew enough to go see a doctor). Rules are rules never crossed their mind.

I would love to see the video from some of these other witnesses.

wow. Thanks for posting. That is exactly how I envisioned it went down. Over the last few years I have seen people acting exactly like this in other situations. So bizarre.

I have a bumper sticker in my classroom that says "stop making stupid people famous". This is the world youtube has created. This woman is 22 and on child #3, and her occupation is vlogger? Yikes. Glad I never clicked on these articles, although the Daily Mail had it as their lead yesterday morning (I know, professional gossip rag newspaper).

If people have video of this they should forward it to DCL, which I have to believe they have video too. It really is starting to sound like DCL could sue them for Defamation (had to look it up). This would be a good lesson for the Vloggers that you just can't say anything and paint a false picture of a situation. Would be a good battle for DCL to pick even if they lost a little money in court costs to set the precedent.

Does anyone know when this cruise took place? Any chance that the other 2690 people on the Magic are back from the cruise? You have to believe that at least one other person took video of the incident....

I have zero sympathy for this girl (I do feel bad for the kids though). If it is clearly stated on the cruise paperwork (which it is), then it is you own fault that you tried to "beat the system." As far as them having to wait in the terminal- can you imagine trying to find their luggage before the ship takes off?!? It's like a needled in a haystack (an organized haystack, but a haystack none the less). And I'm pretty sure that's why they had to wait there so long. I imagine that if there is a restroom in the terminal, then there is a water fountain. Oh, and I'm sure that when they offered to refund her money, if she took it, she had to sign a piece of paper stating that she wouldn't pursue further litigation. Which is complete crapola because Disney was just enforcing their policy.

She's an idiot and is lucky Disney refunded her fare.

What was her itinerary? My brother sent me a link to this story that said it was a "Caribbean" itinerary - isn't Zika still a problem there? I know others feel differently about this but IMO, she shouldn't have been on that sailing anyway (personal story that no one cares about: I was booked on the Dream for this past December. My husband and I decided to try having a kiddo, so I checked the CDC website...it indicated that Zika was now in the Bahamas. I called my OBGYN to ask their opinion and they said to cancel, and I did. It sucked, and I'm sad we didn't get to cruise, but DCL will still be there at a later date! Although I don't think that was really what it was about for this...interesting lady).

The good news is that I have yet to read a single comment on any forum that approves of the actions of this “vlogger” who was willing to risk the health and safety of her unborn child to take a cruise. No one outside of her relatives, think that the rule of no sailing after 24 weeks did not apply to her. Not sure she is really getting the positive support she was clearing pandering to receive from her public.

Now I have one question about this family's claims-- in comments I've seen on various sites that covered it (and I think it may be in her original video-- I won't give it another 'hit' to check)-- they have claimed that DCL had cruise guests Social Security cards sitting out on the counter? That's not even a form of ID used for DCL, to my knowledge. So I wonder what it is they claimed to have seen? (and if they hadn't been hovering around the counter and paying attention to their own family, they wouldn't have been trying to read other people's info on the desk)

Her 15 minutes of fame should be running out any time now...

I’m afraid not. She’s picking up viewers some of them will stay watching. That’s what she wants. She’s not a big you tuber only around 9.3 k but every one helps putting $ into her bank account.

Its more likely that the copy of the SSN was left by a person taking the cruise - on a counter that wasn't being manned by DCL.

Unfortunately I have seen in the comments sections on some news sites covering this plenty of people supporting this woman and bashing DCL for their "terrible treatment" of this woman and her family. Obviously, these are people who 1) don't understand the policy and how it is highlighted during the check in process; 2) don't understand the armed guards are port security and Miami-Dade police; and 3) are too willing to believe that an obviously edited video represents a full and accurate account of the situation. I would love to see a video from a bystander to come out and show a more complete picture of the situation.

This just sucks for DCL, because it doesn’t appear they did anything wrong, other than maybe the SS card/number thing.

I haven’t clicked on the links.

What does she say about ssn? Ssn isn’t asked for by dcl or any cruiseline I know of. Why was there a SS card somewhere?

It was the police. If she is going to be scared of children seeing law enforcement with guns, I highly advise her to never travel anywhere. Basically every port and airport will have armed police or military. Probably should also avoid large events like festivals, concerts, etc.

All I could think of when I first read a comment about the gun thing is “have fun in Nassau”. Those island nations are serious, and they would have seen people with big guns there.

And the thing is....if she truly wanted to go and was willing to risk everything, all she had to do was say she wasn’t in or entering the 24th week of pregnancy. That’s all she had to do. Third baby, women often carry bigger than their first, and people know this.

There was no need for any of this.

But I don’t recommend that. I have a friend who had full blown eclampsia and a baby born at 24 weeks, and a friend whose baby simply would not be stopped at 25 weeks. Both children are fine now, but especially the 24 week baby would not have been OK if born at sea.

Bringing a note saying she’s 25 weeks is just as nonsensical as a person cheshire_figment once wrote about who brought a birth cert to WDW to prove their child was 3. Ok, and that 3 year old will need a ticket, because 3 is the age of having a ticket.

One cannot ENTER the “24th week” before or while on a cruise. That means you can’t BE or hit 23 weeks. She was two weeks beyond what is allowed.

Not too bright.

Amen about hoping that people who recorded the whole thing (or at least once the family started in with their attitude) comes forward.

I do not know what others are saying as I refuse to click on her channel and give her that money.

She claimed in the video (follow up video where she answers questions) that someones SS card was left out in plain sight and she said that a person by a certain name should contact her and they would have a lawsuit against DCL. Thinking about it now, that statement tells a lot about her attitude toward this whole thing.

Guessing this wasn't their initial plan, but they are sure trying to take advantage of the situation.

The more info that surfaces the madder I get. I would love to watch her video but I don't want her to get my "hit". So much doesn't make sense to those of us that cruise but the public that doesn't cruise will not know the whole truth behind it. That is what makes me even more mad!

The sad part is without DCL telling their side, her video is well edited to make it look like DCL is in the wrong. So if the journalists just pick up her video, it will look bad to a vast majority of people out there that aren’t informed like we are.

As much as I have disliked the media for years now, they are guilty of not thoroughly investigating the story, but not sensationaling the story. I really wish DCL would release the video to show what led to the police being called out.

This just sucks for DCL, because it doesn’t appear they did anything wrong, other than maybe the SS card/number thing.

I’m guessing that ABC (owned by Disney) would not have presented the story and that the other networks (FOX, NBC, CBS...) would be afraid of backlash if the story was twisted to show the family in a better light then what actually transpired(as we already know). And the other networks fear Disney has better footage of the real story.
But I’m also speculating broadcast media found footage through social media, on their own, that disproved her claims.
I’m kinda getting to the point if it’s on a site where questionable information can be found, I’m not even going to read it. Then I don’t repeat something that was disproved later. I don’t need help putting my foot in my mouth, it’s where I’m most flexible LOL.
I just left PC on Sunday and did comment to my DD18 that it’s sad that it’s come to this (referring to the people with black vests and guns.) I was all smiles as we saw the working dogs lay next to the seats that security occupied. There were 4 beautiful Black and Tan Shepherd dogs. I think, 1 out at the curb drop off area, 2 at the metal detectors and 2 upstairs. I think the outside dog came in at some point. All back in corners or at doorways (maybe to sniff for drugs or explosives). Once I got 20 feet past the escalator I didn’t think of them again until I left(even though they were not represented as we left like when we left Canada)

@bumbershoot Her brother has posted multiple comments on some social media coverage saying this: "Obviously the news did not share the whole story! This wasn’t about the pregnancy and travel, would it of been nice to know when booked yes... this was to let people know and Someone at Disney who cares know how Disney treated us. This was Not Disney service and on top of it to Warn about the privacy of people’s social security numbers being left out and exposed for anyone to steal! We have it all on video!"

And I think she mentioned it in her original video (I won't give her another click to double check :rolleyes1). I have no idea why anyone would have a SSN out as part of any documentation. Nor do I ever recall handing over much documentation that the checkin CMs hold on to. I know we give them some info, but we don't leave copies of our passports there, much less a SS card!
So-- I think that is an additional matter of this family blowing things up for their 'fame.'
