We will be in California this March and I am trying to convince DH to let us spend two days at DL. I will be about 12 weeks pregnant then and DH thinks I won't be able to do anything. What rides should I avoid?

Talk to your doctor, I am sure there is lots you can do. Avoid the obvious probelms, most if not all coasters, but there is alot left to have fun.

I would positively avoid Indy, CA Screamin' and Space Mountain. The change of blood pressure alone would make you sick.

Basically, you'll need to avoid the thrill rides--Space, Splash, Matterhorn, Big Thunder, & Indy in DL and Tower of Terror, CA Screamin', Muholland Madness and the Maliboomer in DCA. That still leaves a lot of rides and other attractions.

I think you CAN actually go on Soarin'! I checked when we were in WDW last month (for future reference) and it didn't have the pregnancy warning.

Tell hubby you can have so much fun together! In DL there is the train and all of the Main Street Vehicles, the new 50th Anniversary Movie with Steve Martin, parades, all of the Fantasyland rides, jungle cruise, haunted mansion, winnie the pooh, small world, buzz lightyear, innoventions, fireworks show, and then over in DCA you've gotta check out the new Monster's Ride, the Alladin Show, everything in the Animation building, California Dreams movie, block party bash parade, carousel, there should be plenty to do and don't forget shopping and enjoying great treats!!! Go and soak up some atmoshpere find the things you may have glossed over before on your quest for the big thrills. You will discover a new DL , have fun! :sunny:

I'd avoid the teacups, but then again I'd avoid them if I wasn't pregnant!

My wife will be 12 weeks along when we are in the parks March 6-10th. We asked our Doc how to handle the rides and he told us the only real danger is back and neck problems for mom and that the baby is well protected. Something about looser joints and a different center of gravety... With that said My wife is avoiding Indy and TOT but plans on riding Space Mountain.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor and am not dispensing medical advice. :)

My wife was a couple of months along when we visited Disneyland in November. We spent 1/2 a day at DCA and 2.5 days at Disneyland. We took a li'l 1-2 hour siesta every day (we stayed at the Best Western Anaheim within easy walking distance) so as not to tire her hour. Not having enough to do was never a concern!

Anything that spins a lot, rides that have sudden drops (now you don't want that!), speed coasters and bumpy rides.

I suggest the carousel, boat rides, horse & carriage rides.

I was about 9 (or maybe it was further?) weeks pregnant when we took our trip to Cedar Point, (In Sandusky - a big coaster park,) and the doctor told me that as long as I wasn't big enough to make the harnesses uncomfortable, we should worry more about uncontrolled shaking than heights/drops/speed. (We planned the trip before we found out we were pregnant - honest!) :rotfl2:

In Disney, unless the harness are too constricting on the belly, I'd mostly avoid the teacups!

Yep, I would agree with this for attractions to avoid at 3 months pregnant.

There are a couple of small drops on Pirates, but they're not big enough to worry about. You'd be fine on this ride. ::yes::

You could still ride the teacups if you want. Just don't spin them around. Not because it's bad for your future bundle of joy, but because it might make you a little queasy in your delicate condition. BLAH! :faint: :crazy2:

I say go for it and have fun!! :cool1:
