Just found out I pregnant and we have a trip payed and planned for Well our honeymoon!!! I was just wondering if anyone has had this experience before and how it was? Ride restrictions? Etc....

My advice is to keep hydrated, wear comfy shoes and take as many breaks as you need. Pay attention to the ride signs also, some of them say that pregnant women shouldn't ride them. I was PG our last trip but didn't find out until the day we got home. I was just exhausted the and DH told me the entire trip "I think you are pregnant" and I told him he was nuts. But lo and behold...he was right! Have a great time but take care of yourself too!

I'll be 26 wks when we go in November. Basically stay off anything with mountain, coaster, or tower in the name. Also no dinosaur and probably no kilamanjaro. Other than that just use your judgement. I know that allearsnet.com has suggestions for pregnant women.

I visited DLP when I was 14 weeks pregnant. Had a great time! Wore comfy shoes, took breaks, didn´t ride anything with restrictions (weren´t that many anyway) and had a blast!

Have fun and congrats on the pregnancy!!!

I don't want to hijack this thread, but...
MistyD that is the most precious picture I have ever seen!!! How beautiful your baby is!!!!

Congrats on your pending arrival and getting married too!!! I was pregnant on our honeymoon at WDW. I was only a couple of weeks and very sick. It was July and I was miserable because I didn't take proper care of myself. You really need to listen to your body and take a break when you need to. Drink lots and take a nap at least once a day! You should be in your 2nd trimester right? You should be feeling good by then. All rides have restrictions on them if pregnant woman shouldn't ride. There is still plenty to do so you will not feel like your missing out on too much. Syrreal was right on with her post. I will also be going in Nov. and will be about 17 weeks. I'm hoping that I will feel better then, I should. I have been really sick with this pregnancy, all day sickness!!! Also, I hope to be able to eat all my favorite foods! I plan on taking it slow and keeping hydrated.
Good luck and I hope you have a great time.

Desnik, when are you going to be down there? DH and I just decided to go the weekend of Nov 16th. We're meeting some friends. I'll be just about 6 mos preggy then.

The way I see it, everything I can't ride will still be there when I go back next year and then we can just use baby swap since I have no issue riding stuff by myself (or leave baby with the inlaws at FW <lol>).

DH laughed at me today and said that he can already see what the trip is going to be like-
All from me-->
I want a dole whip float--Turkey leg (which I never eat and think are nasty- I am not a dark meat eater)---Frozen coke...no, cherry...no, coke....cherry!-- drink some beverly-- gimme popcorn---I'm hungry--- I gotta go potty----I need a drink----It's hot--- I'm tired---I wanna go on pirates and HM again--

Too funny!
At least he also said that we can do whatever I want whenever I want to.

You are cracking me up!!! :lmao: I'm gonna be the same way. As soon as I crave something I have to have it. Then when I get it I want something else!!LOL My poor husband! But it gets worse, we are going with my best friend, her DH and their DS and she is also pregnant, but with triplets!!! So far she has been OK and her DR said she can go on the trip. I just feel really bad for our husbands. We'll be driving them crazy. We will be there Nov 12th-17th.

Does anyone know if I can ride Soarin? We loved it on our last trip. If not, it's OK. That's the joy of going every year! What ever we miss we save for next time!! :teeth:

As far as I know, there are no resrictions for us on Soarin'. I looked at the sign very closely when I was down in May. It's because Soarin' is really not jarring or anything at all (and the three smells don't bother me- because they don't smell like my car- which is the only smell that has me nuts lately!- smells like mildewy laundry to me)

Desnik, we just may cross paths! We will probably hit MK or Epcot on the 16th. :)

Soontobewed07- How far along will you be on your trip? If we know that, we might be able to give you some more specific info :)

I will be there this week ( 3 more days yay!) , I will post back and let you guys know how things went . Ive been packing extra comfortable clothes (which most maternity are), lots of water, and comfy shoes.
This will be my first WDW experience pregnant as well, should be fun trying to keep up with DD4 and DS1 as well as waddle my way around. Im going to do all the rides Im permitted, but Im sure Ill be spending some time on park benches as well.

I went when I was 4 months along and had a great time! Most people were helpful and would give me their seat in a crowded spot. Keep a water bottle handy and ask CM's at drink stations to fill it with ice for you. They will, and will usually add water as well. I had a blast and have been having one ever since! IDK if you are a thrill ride kind of person but if you look around there are still tons of things to do that are not restricted. You may find a whole side of Disney you have not thought about.

I am definitely taking water with me. I usually do anyway.

here's a little tip- if you have a fridge in your room (I think most of them have one now) you can put your water either in the little freezer section (or right under it) at night and it will be frozen in the morning. If you don't like drinking a lot of water nad prefer flavors, just add those little "on the go" kool-aid/tea/crystal light packets. I like the green tea ones the best as far as flavor goes.

This time we're going to pretty much just walk around, ride what I want to ride (lots of pirates and HM for me), shop, and most of all eat. We have ADRs with our friends to watch hoop-dee-doo. DH loves that show and our friends have never seen it before. I like it when then do the "Oh my darling Clementine" song. The only reason we are doing it though is b/c we have a discount otherwise it's WAY too expensive IMO (unless someone else is paying ;) ) Plus I know that I have to get my napoleon in france.
