I don't think it's "officially" posted on the DCL site, but she'll absolultely need the medical release form DCL will send to her signed by her doctor certifying how far along she is. If she's 24 weeks, they won't let her board. If she shows up without the release, they also probably won't let her board since she won't have anything from her doctor. Good luck!

I know I saw it printed in one of the brochures and can't remeber if it is in the documents anywhere. They ask if anyone is pregnant--doe she intend to say she is? let us know what happens.

Remind her too, in case she's thinking of not revealing her status, that the rule is there for a very good reason--24 weeks is currently thought of as the earliest time that a baby could possibly survive if born. How terrible it would be if a baby was born prematurely at sea and was lost when he/she might have survived if at a good NICU on land. Hate to think of that!

good point, HappyMommy. i wonder how many women try to hide it if there are any. i always thought it was an issue of being born on international waters & all those related logistics.

I have seen a limit mentioned on these boards. My wife and I went on a cruise when she was about 26 weeks along, but that was on RCCL, and it was back in 1986, and there were no such restrictions on RCCL at that time.
Only side effect was DS was born with a love of water!!!!! And my wife had her own built in stabilizer....when the ship went left, the baby went right!!!! The rougher the seas, the more he liked it.

From the above link:

"Women who have entered their 24th week of pregnancy as of their embarkation date will be refused passage due to safety concerns. Neither a physician's medical statement nor a waiver of liability will be accepted. In addition, Disney Cruise Line cannot be held responsible or liable for any complications relating to pregnancy at any stage."

Why didn't she cancel earlier?
