Pregnancy announcement ideas in WDW

Ok everyone this is crazy! Back in December I miscarried my son in the second trimester. My DH and I were finally given an opportunity to get down to WDW as a way to take a break from all the stress in our life right now. We are booked for 3 nights at POR in April. Well today I found out I'm pregnant again

I definitely want to find a way to incorporate our announcement into our trip. Be it a photo or video, I'm in need of ideas. So let's see whatcha got....

Congrats, mama! I was in Disneyland when I was 11 weeks pregnant with my daughter so we bought an infant Disney bodysuit with the year on it and took our picture in front of the castle holding it. We used it to "announce" the pregnancy on Facebook after we had told close friends and family. We are TTC and I am hoping to do something similar on our May trip!

Two ideas: Do a meet n' greet with your fave character and have them hold up the first ultrasound or a poster with "Baby _____ Due Date/Coming Soon _____" or you could get a gender neutral baby earhat, embroider it with "Baby _____", take it with you around the parks (video option) or take a pic with it in front of the different park icons.

Again congrats! I think it would be wonderful to go to WDW while pregnant. :-D

What a great idea! I know I will be eyeing the baby clothes so hopefully they have some gender neutral ones! Pixie dust to you!

Thanks! I need that sticky dust!!!!! I like the earhat idea. Any idea how long it takes to get those embroidered? I might just want those to have anyway

A pair of Mickey ears with the Month Date you are due, held over your belly with the words coming soon.

A picture with you and the hubby at one of the wishing wells with his hands on your belly, add some text that reads Where dreams come true and your due date.

You can take a video of you two meeting Talking Mickey. Ask Mickey to pull a onesie out of a gift bag and he can Congratulate you!

There is an embroidery shop in DHS that will embroider any item with anything you choose.

I had to reference another thread because oddly enough I personally haven't had a set embroidered yet (my mom did for me when I was little though)....It depends on the crowd level but it shouldn't take very long (15-20 minutes at most is what I found). Hope that helps.

Love the wishing well! I'm thinking ill do a few ideas and see which one turns out best. After all I have less rides to stand in line for so I get to do these exciting things instead!

Instead of having to wait to have it done in the parks, you could order one online through the Disney Store & have it embroidered, then bring it along with you on your trip.

What about 3 sets of Mickey ears--one with "mom", "dad" and "baby" or "?" Maybe there's a way to incorporate a character meet into it...

I had a miscarriage at the end of January and DH and I actually booked our Disney trip the night before the dr's appt where we would find out if everything was ok or not. We didn't have great news on the previous appt but there was still a chance things could have been ok. So we booked not knowing what the situation would be, and it has been such a blessing because it's really taken our minds off of our grief and helped us have something good to look forward to.

My husband already knows so the announcement ideas are for when we will announce it to everyone on social media. Also, our trip was very low budget and luckily it's already paid for.
