I have read the superthread, but am wondering if it will be an issue with me leaving before show starts to use the restroom and get a snack? I know I do not have to stand while waiting only during the show, but I KNOW that I will have to take at least one bathroom break. Is this allowed???

Yes, if anyone in your party needs to leave after you've gone into your viewing area, just stop by one of the CM's at the sections entrance & ask for a FP so you can return. They'll hand you one of the FP's they've been collecting.

The lady beside us (we were on the bridge) was trying to save a spot for the 3 teenage girls who were with her. We just spread out a bit to help her. The CM standing by us was great. She was very chatty and helped pass the time. The mom had given them strict instructions on when to get there. They came by and the CM told them we had their spots reserved and to go ride something else and come back. When the did she let them right under the rope/barricade. They got there with minutes to spare and we all enjoyed the show. Now this may have been an extreme case but I'm sure a CM would be happy to let you leave and come back. I saw lots of people do this in lines when little ones needed to go. DH even lifted one small child over to his dad in the TSMM line. Most people are pretty chill about that sort of thing.
