Oh, Baby!
Only 7 weeks 'til we hang with the Mouse!

My wife and I were wondering which of the preferred views
would be best while there "Presidents Week."

We thought that perhaps a view of EPCOT or MGM would be
nice...but what rooms and/or floors would we ask for?

As far as a pool view...maybe the 1st floor? Don't know if
DVC allows family to visit for a day, if they do...
we'll be having company...
(my SIL, who owns a time share @ Marriot near by)
...thought it might be easier if we could access the pool easier.

Personnal Note:
My SIL is one of those "been there done that" types when it
comes to our beloved Mouse! I feel obligated to show off
my DVC membership to her...is that wrong? :rotfl2:
Any suggestions with SIL? :rotfl:

Heck No that isn't wrong!!! You bought the better time share, and my SIL is obnoxious like that too, so it always fun to mess with her. I say show off and be proud.

Have you made your reservations already? There are three views at BWV and Boardwalk is one of them (guaranteed) (the other two are preferred and standard). If your reservation is for preferred you may overlook the pool, garden, canal, etc (but probably not Boardwalk).

I had a preferred 2BR in early December and could see the Swan/Dolphin and a bit of the canal but that was it. It was fine for us.

No opinons on BWV, but .....WOW! didn't realize President Week was only 7 weeks away!!
:cool1:

(really hope we can go! my Dad's in the hospital and may have to cancel)

We have been luck with our Boardwalk guaranteed views. As a matter of fact we have one for our long weekend in two weeks :cool1:

We usually request highest floor possible and over the Big River Grille. This gives us an excellent view of the "golf ball" as DD calls SE and IllumiNations.

We have been lucky and had the same room for the last 3 trips:) Of course I can't remember the room number :earboy2:

My best friends sounds a lot like your SIL. They own at two Marriotts' ... and they were mighty impressed with our little old DVC :goodvibes

wow! President's week is only 7 weeks away??? I better start dieting. I recently got my waitlist for BWV - preferred view. I don't care where the room is, as long as it's non-smoking! See you there.

We had asked for a high floor and ended up on the first floor (standard view). It turned out great. Our kids were in the pool every day and it was about fifty steps from our room to the door to Luna Park. With two kids in the process of growing gills, good pool access was more important that a good view.

We have had rooms overlooking the large pool and the quiet pool and the quiet pool was nice because you got to see MGM and when we did the large pool we stayed on 4th floor overlooking the slide and you see the swan/dolphin and the canal. This time we requested the boardwalk view because we have never done that before. One of our best rooms was actually a standard view room on a corner where we saw illuminations and part of fireworks from MGM.As far as convienance we had a room on the 2nd floor right next to the elevator which made going to the pools and coming home from the parks real nice.no long walks back to the room.Have a great time.. :)

I clicked on the point chart above and did not see the guaranteed views listed. Is it part of the preferred view or is listed it on another chart. I do not have another chart link.

Preferred view is everything except standard view. That would be Boardwalk view, pool view, garden view. Boardwalk view is one of the preferred views, and you can get that guaranteed (if you're lucky!).
