Pre-Trippie..Yet ANOTHER family trip...do we HAVE to go there AGAIN! YES...YOU DO!

Continuing where I left off this morning......

Since our friends were not at the MK yet, we decided to ride PoTC and spend a bit of time walking around.

We rode Potc and I was really hungry so we went and got a bite to eat and then headed for HM, DH's favorite ride. After HM we browsed some of the shops and then went to see what the wait was for Pooh...I just love Pooh. As we were making our way to Pooh, we decided to ride iaswaa since there was no line at all. After that we hit Philharmagic (my favorite)

We then saw that Pooh was up to 20 minutes so we decided to pass. I had never seen Cindy's wishing well so we took a stroll over there.

Belle is my favorite princess and as we were heading over to Cosmic Ray's, I noticed she was doing Story Time. I wanted to stay but we didn't.

DH wanted Cosmic Ray's so we stopped there. I called my friends and they were still at the resort checking in so we headed over to the TTA. As we were going through Space Mountain, we see this............

It seemed that we were in store for many attractions to be down. I have no idea why. It was raining like mad though. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.


After the TTA we walked up Main Street and waited to meet our friends. Yay, they arrived! Sorry, no pictures.

We then headed over to PotC again. There was a 5 minute wait. Just as we got close, the ride broke down so they gave us FP's for any ride, good til 8/31.

We decided to grab a FP for Big Thunder, another ride that I have never ridden and then we were going to use our FP's for Splash. I am a major chicken and have NEVER been on Splash. Our friend's 5 year old really wanted to ride and needless to say, I felt like a fool being scared so I figured I would give it a try. Just as we got near the entrance, Splash broke down! I could not believe our luck. We were so close that we decided to wait. So we waited, and waited, and waited and finally got to the front. We had our FP's in our hand but the CM didn't make us turn them in when we told him that it was the second ride in the last hour that had broken down while we were in line. Jackpot..we still had the FP! OMG, I LOVE Splash! I have been missing out big time. We bought the picture which is hilarioius because I have my head down....all you see is the top of my head. And by the way, it was POURING when we rode Splash.

We waited for the rain to settle and then went over to ride BTMRR with our FPs. That too was awesome and I could kick myself for missing out all these years.

I can't even remember everything we did, but I do recall that we did ****, Buzz, and TTA again. We had to FP Buzz because the wait was around 30 or 40 minutes.

We were so tired and my blisters had blisters...stupid me...wore a brand new pair of Croc sandles and when they got wet, OMG, it was awful!!!!!

DH and I were tired as we had been at MK for around 11 hours and we were up for around 20 by that time. We headed back to the resort and I was asleep in no time.

We got up the next morning and took this picture from the balcony of the Dolphin. We were headed to the Studios that day until it was time to go to the airport.

We rented a car and were driving over. We walked through the lobby and went to the valet station.

We called ahead for our car. There was a group of 6 people waiting outside and it turns out they had the exact same rental car that we had. When our car arrived they jumped in. Do you think that they would have noticed our Disney bags in the back seat? The day before we bought 2 shirts and we had our photo from Splash in the back. This guy jumps in the front and says, hey, who snuck to McDonald's last night! He had my Happy Meal box in his hand! Through all this DH and I are saying "excuse me, excuse me, excuse me" and they nearly took off if it were not for the valet running to get their attention. I nearly freaked out as we had to return our car to Tampa that evening. Can you even imagine what a hassle that would have been??????

Ok, now that that is over............

I called our friends and it turned out that they were out until after 1 so they were getting a slower start that morning.

DH and I went to the Studios and immediately headed for TSMM. It was insane. The wait was already around an hour and we had no clue when they would arrive. We did some shopping and stuff and then we went into One Man's Dream. While we were there our friends called and said that they were at Beauty. We decided to meet after the show at the tables across from Beauty. They told us that 4 for a Dollar did not perform before their show. We thought that they would be there through September 20th but they were not at that particular show.

DH and I didn't have much time as we had a plane to catch in Tampa so we all went over to TSMM.

You will NOT believe what happened. The wait said 60 minutes but the line was moving so we jumped in. There was this lady that bolted past us as she excused herself and said that a little boy had to use the bathroom. Ok, so where is the little boy you ask? Well, she whipped out this clear plastic bottle and proceeded to have him pee into it! OMG, it was insane. After he does his business, she puts the lid on and sticks this thing into her pocket. Lord knows how she managed that because the bottle was huge. So immediately after, she starts to get a sandwhich out of her purse to feed him. No one washed their hands, used wipes or anything. It was totally gross and you had to see the faces of the people that were around her. It was crazy. I heard people say that it would have been better to take the little boy out of the line, leave his father in line and then come back. Even though that is frowned upon, most people were commenting that they would have preferred that over what they saw. It was just gross.

Ok, back to the ride........

We got to the front of the line in 45 minutes. Mr. Potato Head wasn't too active during our time in the que. Once we got to the final stairway, I looked down to see someone throwing up in their ride cart. Apparently they could not take the automatic spinning or something. So here is me thinking oh great, I hate spinny stuff...this is going to suck! Well, it was AWESOME! It was so worth the wait! DH and I both loved it as did our friends. We cannot wait to ride it again.

After TSMM everyone was hungry. We had 2 hours before we had to leave for the airport so we went to 50's Prime Time to see if we could do a walk up. Our friends had not been there before and wanted to try it. We had to wait only 15 minutes. DH and our friend had the PBJ shakes. I don't recall what everyone ate. I wasn't planning any type of TR so I wasn't paying attention. DH and our friends daughter had to stand in the corner though. He tattled on her that she was fiddling with her cell phone at the table.

I wanted to get rice krispy ears for the family so we high tailed it out of there to get them before leaving for the airport. We waited for a tram and DH had to practically fly to get us to the airport on time. We had to stop for gas and turn in the car so I was freaking out. We made it though.

So, that was my teaser trip.

And I almost forgot.........I am wearing new sunglasses in the previous pictures that I posted. Apparently I have been told that they are "Harry Potter" like. Ahh, what can you do, you know?

I am finalizing my lists this weekend. I got moleskin and small scissors today. After last weekend, it's a must.

I cannot decide what to do about MNSSHP and dressing up for it. I want to but I cannot convince the rest of the family to. I wish they would. I'm trying to think of costumes for us in the event that they agree. I want to be prepared!

I ended up telling DH about the glow sticks and glow leis that I got for our trip. I couldn't stand it any longer. He just laughed at me. They are packed and ready to go. I have 100 glow sticks that I can make into necklaces and stuff and we have 5 of the leis that light up. I want to wear them on our anniversary. DH says I'm insane.

While it was hard to leave there on Sunday, I knew that we'd be back soon. That made it a bit easier. The weather was hot and humid. We could stand the heat but the humidity was awful.

We leave two weeks from tomorrow. Last night I laminated all of the CM thank you cards so that is done.

We rented our car early this year and the price was really high. For kicks I checked Alamo last night and was able to get the price of the car for 50% less! I changed my sister's reservation too so that they could get a better deal.

With DH's back and my mom's asthma, we always rent cars. DH especially just can't deal with Disney transportation. The one thing though that I noticed is that you actually walk further when you park in the handicapped spaces at MK than you do if you get to use the tram. Parking at DHS is great because he doesn't have to walk very far to the car. It's not the way in that is bad for us, it's the way out. By the end of the day he has a really hard time. I'm not sure why he refuses to get a scooter but he won't do it unless he just can't walk at all and the medications don't work. It's a long story but he is a disabled veteran and when he had back surgery while in the military they didn't do a good job on him .... we refer to it as Black and Decker surgery. Anyway, I am very glad that we got such an awesome rental rate compared to what we thought it was going to cost!

We had a blast, even in the rain! The wait was posted an hour but it took around 45 minutes. It wasn't a bad wait at all as it was inside and there was a lot to see and take pictures of. Maybe because it was our first time at that attraction?

Anyway, I CAN'T WAIT to go back. I'm going to PM you my numbers. Hopefully we can meet at DAK.

I have nearly everything packed. I just need to worry about the last minute stuff. Instead of a purse I am going to carry a draw string bag. I've got a lot in there already as well.

This morning I finalized my mom's trip binder, called Disney Dining and confirmed all of our ADR's and printed the finalized versions of the interary cards. I need to laminate them and then put them on their ring, then they will be done too.

DH went through the camera stuff and put what we are taking in a separate camera bag. We've been struggling with what type to take and which equipment to take. I think that we're set with that now too. All of the suitcases are in our room and pretty much ready. DH isn't packed but he takes his good old time!

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend was checking into the Dolphin so DH and I went strolling into the shops and we saw this.

I told DH I want to make a set when we go back in September.

At first I browsed through and I was like "Wait, she is not going yet is she?" Thinking I had lost my mind. How exciting to get a mini trippie before the big one!!!

We had family in from PA this weekend. They wanted to go shopping and I figured we may as well get the rest of our stuff for our trip while we were out.

DH finally got his man-dals (sandals) as I call them. I hate the way he looks in sandals big time but these aren't so bad. They are more like flip flops without the toe thingy. They're okay I guess.

My shoe struggle is finally over so I think I am all set. I got a pair of black Coach walking shoes that sort of look like tennies but they aren't. They are super comfy so I figure I will take those, my other tennies, maybe my Etnies and 2 pair of crocs. I have a problem when I wear the same shoes for a long period of time so I figured I'd switch them up a bit. All I can say is thank God we get to take two suitcases each or I would be in big trouble.

We also went to a vintage store and I found this very cute Disney picutre with two small drinking glasses. Of course, I had to have that too. I will post a picture one of these days.

I ordered the cutest Disney fruit basket and container from Incredible Edibles as a thank you for our friends that we me last weekend at Disney. I think I am going to order that for DH for our anniversary and have it delivered to the resort since we have a fridge. I am also going to get the beer stein from the Germany pavillion and will take that with us to CRT and give it to him there. I'm thinking that we may rent a locker at MK. Anyone ever done that before?

and I didn't know incredible edible baskets delivered to rooms at disney?? I love those darn things!! I dont have a fridge but I'm pretty sure we could eat one in a few seconds flat!! If I wasn't on dxdp and getting so much food as it is I would get one!! I loveee the choc covered strawberries and the pineapple..

and what is this beerstein?? do tell.. maybe I can get one for df!!

Bingo on the coach shoes! LOL. Those freaking things are so darn comfortable. OMG!

Not sure if they will deliver to the rooms but I am going to call to see if they will deliver to the resort that day at least. I found this one Disney themed basket that I have not seen in any other area except for the Tampa area. I am assuming that the Orlando store will make the same basket. Here is the link.

It's a kid themed basket but very cute. As soon as I can get away from DH for 5 minutes, I am going to call them. I figured I'd do it tomorrow from work or something.

The pavillion in Germany has awesome beer steins. DH has been admiring them for years now. We're going to EPCOT before our anniversary and I am sure that he will mention wanting to get one, etc. So, once we leave the store I am going to send my mother back in to get whatever one he talks about and then I am going to have her bring it to dinner on our anniversary on the 17th. So, wish me luck that I can get this one past him.

Well, I just ordered the Edible Arrangement on line! I put my cell as the contact so let's see what happens.

The shoes are black and they are sort of like this:

There are several different kinds that are all very similar. The ones that I got are actually more like walking shoes and they don't tie but I can't find them on line. THis is the closest that I could find.

So, it all started with DH driving me to work this morning. Parking is a small fortune in downtown Cleveland and when DH goes to his office, he drops me off. Today he was working from home but took me to work anyway. My brother has a flight back to Atlanta at 5:30 so it was just easier for him to work from home.

At 7:28 my phone rings and I hear.............."I just totaled the car...at least I think I did...I am still inside though....I will call you back.

DH called 911 and then called me back again. So, long story short, here is the car.........

And get this.......the freaking air bags did NOT deploy! The police and firefighters on the scene said that he is lucky to be alive and that he made the right decision. His glasses saved his eyes from the shattering glass and the size of the car was a blessing as well. He took out fire hydrant and a fence that was made of a 1-2 inch chain link. Once the car stopped the chain started to swing and took off both of the side mirrors and started to smash the glass as well as make a mess of both sides of the car. The chain basically split it down the front and went all the way back to the radiator if not further. The fire hydrant took on a cross beam. It is a MESS to say the least.

I freaked out when he called me and was stuck at work. I called DSis who lives near there and sent her over so that at least a family member was there with him. He refused EMS (the dummy). My friend's husband came to get me and once I got home we went straight to the hospital. Given that he has a disability as it is, I wanted to be sure that he got checked out. Bottom line is that he will be fine.

So, with around 12 days to go before vacation, this has been my day so far. We know that his real pain will start in the next day or so. He got all of the glass out of his mouth and ears and we were told that we can expect to find more over the next couple of weeks.

Please cross your fingers for me in the hopes that he does not feel the affects of this later.
