Pre-Trippie..Yet ANOTHER family trip...do we HAVE to go there AGAIN! YES...YOU DO!

We'll know more about DH's uncle on Thursday. They are saying positive things. He lives in PA so we're hearing all of this news via my MIL.

Mom is doing great. I am taking her to our family doctor tomorrow evening for a final check but we don't anticipate him saying that she cannot fly because she feels a LOT better.

I ordered the glow sticks from Oriental Trading. They came 50 in a box with connectors so that we can make necklaces, etc. The lei's were separate and I got 5 of those. I can't wait to see DH's face when I tell him he HAS to wear one. I think I got enough for us to make a little something each night although we will not wear them in dark rides, etc. That drives me nuts when people do that.

DH is happy with his new ride so that is all that matters to me. The dude was so freaking depressed about his car it was crazy. I just let him do whatever because I didn't want a major grumpy-butt on vacation.

I can't get into working today. Saturday is not going to get here fast enough for me.

I bet working would be so hard!

Dh has a big huge truck. Why we need that I'm not sure but he has it and it makes him happy and a happy husband is what I need at home so I do understand your feelings on getting the car!!!

We have another big meeting today and I am hoping that will bring a bit of information to relax me a bit. DH and I are all packed and ready to go. Poor guy claims that he has no socks because they are all packed. Truth is I am sure that he has socks and I actually have ALL the laundry done. Last load is in the washer now ready for me when I get home.

I took mom to the doctor last night for the finaly approval to fly, etc. Yay, totally official now!

My sister still has not started to pack for her or for my nephew. My mom told her last night that she will even do the laundry to get her started.

Speaking of my sister, I have been asking her for some time now if she planned to take a day to go to Clearwater to see my nephew's other grandma. No response....until I had everything set and the itinerary cards printed. Last night she dropped the bomb that she is going on the day that we planned to be at DHS. I'm po'd because I really wanted my nephew to experience TSMM. She is historically late and I am sure that she will spend the night. Last year we waited and waited and waited for her so that we could go to MNSSHP and she got there last minute. I told my mom that this year we are not waiting for her. Now I have at least one ADR where the party number is reduced by 2. Not sure what to do because if I call and cancel I may not get a smaller group but if I do not call and cancel, they may say that they can't hold the ADR because the entire party is not present. I am freaking mad because I have asked her for months to tell me if and shen she would go there.

Other than that, tomorrow I check us in on line, DH checks the car in on line and then I call a cab since we have to reserve it 24 hours in advance. Then..........OFF WE GO!!!!!!!!

I would leave the ADRs as is ~ just pretend you don't know she is not showing...plus, it's better that you will have extra seats, not need more anyway. Should be no problem, don't let it ruin your dinner plans!!!

Too bad her son has to miss out on DHS

Seems like my sister is all set with the school now. Mom did the laundry while she was at work so she's much further along in her packing than in years past.

I'm freaking out now about one of cats. I was not able to have children so my cats are like kids to me. Sounds crazy but it's true. My oldest cat, Tessie Jean did not want to eat this morning and that's huge. She is usually the first one to eat. She's 11 and has had health issues in the past. Of course, she picks the day before we're to leave to do this to me. My cousin will be here with her while I am gone but still................

So here it is the night before we leave. I am running around like a fool and DH is watching tv. I want the house to be clean for my aunt and my cousin and it seems that I will be doing it alone. Yeah, will I be a you-know-what if I break a nail! I guess I can't be too mad though. DH gave me my anniversary gifts early. I was sort of bummed but he wanted me to have them for our trip. I got two Mickey rings! Yay! I will take pictures and post them when we return.

Checklist of tonght's to do list:

1. Organize purse/backpack thingy - DONE

2. Make sure we have AP's, DDE card, money, etc. - DONE

3. Pack airline stuff (ID, CLEAR, boarding passes) - DONE

4. Finish last load of laundry

5. Change cat litter boxes

6. Pack binder with all my "confirmation stuff" - DONE

7. Call cab for tomorrow morning - DONE

8. Clean the stove top -- I am anal when it comes to my stove top. Drives everyone nuts.

9. Organize work stuff - yeah, I have to work on vacation. - DONE

10. SLEEP - not sure I will get much of that tonight.

We're off in the morning.

So, get this...here we are at Disney and apparently good old Ike has made his way through Ohio. I hear that we have no power and do not expect it for a few days. I am sure that everything in my freezer is ruined. I am worried about my pets and any damage to our house but my cousin said all is fine (she is caring for my cats). She did say though that there is major clean up necessary. Part of me wants to fly home early but DH does not feel the same.

I will start a TR when we get back. LOTS to report.
