Pre-Trippie..Yet ANOTHER family trip...do we HAVE to go there AGAIN! YES...YOU DO!

Your scrapbooking is very nice!!
we will be gone from WDW 3 days before you get there!! Have a wonderful time!!:yay:

Thanks. I have not been doing it for too long but I find it very relaxing. I hope that you enjoy your trip as well!:yay:

Well there goes my idea for a gift, I was gonna say buy yourself some sexy lingerie--most hubby's love that gift!!:rotfl: :rotfl: definitely don't wear it to CRT

OMG, can you imagine? :lmao: :lmao:

I am enjoy the PTR--we will be there the week before you guys. This will be our first trip on the dining plan. My husbands still says yeah right--I can't believe this is free dining! I'll show him

Samantha

This is our first dining plan too. My mom, sister and nephew have had free dining over the past three years ... I think it's been three. We've made all of our ADR's already. I've tried to change a couple of them but no luck...everything is pretty well booked.

Have fun on your trip!!:)

Hi!!! I'm so glad I found your PTR! I can't wait to catch up. I don't have time tonight, but I will read it tomorrow! I LOVED your last TR too, you take such wonderful pictures!!! Can't wait to read all about your upcoming trip ~ 4 weeks! It's so close!

Night!

I'm looking forward to your TR as well! Your last one was awesome! :)

Thanks for joining everyone. :cheer2:

So, I just finished printing all of my Mousekeeping enveopes, filled them up and sealed them so they are ready to go. I put them in the binder already so I don't forget them. I decided to make my own using a free Disney clip art site that I found on line. My mom wants me to make hers as well. We always have the grand debate on the amount of the tip. I am a neat freak so basically all I need from Mousekeeping are new towels. If I have time, I even make the bed. ;) That said, I normally put between $4 - $5 in each envelope. What does everyone else do?

Wow you are so creative! I'm impressed and at the same time inspired! Scrapbooking scares me. Seriously. so anything that remotely resembling that scares me.

Great PTR so far. I have no idea of a gift or something special right now but I think thats because I'm tired. I'll think on that later though.

Wonderful pictures! What kind of camera do you have? The sunset one is AMAZING! You should totally blow that one up and put it somewhere in your house.

Anyway, I'm in can't wait to hear and see more about your upcoming trip

I've never premade these before so if you have pictures I would love to see them for inspiration again. What website for clipart did you use?

Shawna,

Thanks for joining.

My sister suggested scrapbooking last winter. It was so cold here in Ohio that we rarely went out. She started first and would show me what she did. Since I have zero talent, I was afraid to try. DH coaxed me into it and then HE was the one that started to buy me the trimmers, the Cricut, the sticker maker, etc. I must admit that I can barely use the Cricut. I do the simple things with it but that's it. I plan to spend this winter learning more about how to use it and seeing if I can get a bit more creative with my pages.

We have several different cameras. Two of them are these very small Casio's. They are the size of credit card only a bit thicker. That is what I took the sunset picture with. They are quite easy to use and take great pictures but they take no so great night time parade pictures. We also have an Olympus 8.0 SP-350 which takes nice pictures too. For our last anniversary, DH got me a Canon Rebel xti which I am still learning how to use. He is much better at it than I am right now. I tease him because while I was studying for an exam for 6 months, he got to play around with the camera and learn how to use it. My plan is to try and take a class in the fall/winter to see if that will help me. I have read two books and watched an instructional video so I can use it, but just not as I would like.

I will take pictures of some of the envelopes that I made and post them today. I tried to theme each one based on where were plan to visit for that day. DH thinks that I am crazy, but that's okay, he'll get over it. ;)

I'll also post some other pictures from our last trip as well. It may inspire me to get moving with our touring plans. That is one thing that I need to finish before I finalize my itinerary cards. So far I know what we want to do but I have not put a touring plan together yet. As my family says, I have not yet outlined the commando fashion in which we will tour.

I did scour the boards last night and it was hard to find anything more than having a gift basket delivered. I did see mention of doing a wishes or illuminations cruise, but I know you wanted to do something at the restaurant. My other suggestion is just calling the restaurant directly and asking them for ideas. I will keep searching though.

Here are some of the envelopes. Also, thanks to an awesome designer on the DISign board who sent me a graphic for a tee-shirt, I was able to use the same graphic for my binder cover. :goodvibes The DISigner was so willing to make these stick figure designs for people. I made family tee shirts for us as well and now I am inspired to make others but we'll see how much time I have to get all of this done.

I also found a few pictures from trips gone by that I'm using for inspiration to finalize our touring plans....just seeing my nephew's little face makes me want to be sure that he gets to do and see everything that he wants. DH is in here too..........Here are some from 2004.

More pictures. This one is from 2002. We were celebrating my nephew's 5th birthday and my 40th. My niece was with us this trip too which was a blessing. She has gone with us only twice so far. :cutie:

These two are from last September when both my niece and my nephew were with us (and my mom and sister ;) ). They didn't get along as well as we had hoped but it was all good............ :lovestruc

That's all for now. After I finish my housework today, I am going to start our touring plans.......I hope.

Beka,

Thanks for doing that. It was so nice of you. :goodvibes . I was up until after 1 a.m. checking out more options. DH was watching the Olympics so I wa able to spend some time searching. Aside from a gift basket I too have found much more. I called Disney and got the number for CRT special occasions but it seems that most of the ideas are for the husband to surprise the wife. So, I think I am going to have to give up on a surprise at dinner and think of something else. I'm bummed.:confused3

Hi there,
Popped over from my PTR after you posted there, just quickly skimmed your PTR (will go back and read in detail).
You're so organised!!! :worship:
I love the scrapbooks and the prompt cards!! :rotfl:
You're really lucky going so often - I'm so jealous!
AKL looks lovely, and free dining is always good :thumbsup2 it's my DH's favourite resort, though I do love Y&BC :cloud9:
You'll be there same time as us! Will keep an eye out for you - we'll be the ones who's kids are running riot! :rolleyes1 Avoid at all cost!!
A few of your ADR's are the same as us as well - we are doing Biergarten, CRT as well.
Don't know if I'm much help with a gift - but my DH is desperate to get a stein in Germany, and I think you can get them personalised. Not very romantic though! I'm not exactly bursting with ideas am I?
Keep posting!

Bye

Thanks for joining! DH has also been admiring the stein's in Germany. I think that maybe I will get him one AND try and do something simple at CRT when we are there for dinner. Becka (LuccaDrake) has been trying to help me find something as well. She's been scouring the board which I thought was so nice of her to do. We keep coming up with the same things. I intend to keep looking but I really like the stein idea.

Let me know if you are up for a meet since we will be there at the same time. I'm hoping to meet up with Inkedupmomma at DAK one day as well. I really enjoy meeting people from the boards.

I meant to tell you when I posted on your PTR that I think your children are adorable!

Your rise to scrapbooking Super Woman sounds Incredible. I'm not sure dh would buy all that stuff for me. Although he did buy me the brother Disney sewing machine when I said I wanted to take up sewing earlier this year so I do have some hope. :lmao:

I just have a small Panasonic Lumix. I always think people with great pictures have an unbelievably expensive SLR camera and know how to use it. I think I need to read my manual! :rotfl:

The Commando comment cracked me up. I'm kind of that way too. i can't wait to see what else you come up with.

Great pictures! Those mousekeeping envelopes are so cute. OMG! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that family stick figure t-shirt. That has to be the cutest EVER.

That gingerbread house is HUGE next to your nephew :lmao: :lmao:

I wish I was better at scrapbooking but I guess it's one of those things that you can't do wrong. ;)

I wish that I could sew. That is one thing that I truly want to do but I stink at it...big time! I have a small sewing machine but believe it or not, I use it for scrapbooking and not fabric. :upsidedow

I did the mousekeeping envelopes in PowerPoint. The site that I got the clip art from has a TON of stuff. It was hard to decide what to select and at one point the envelopes were so busy looking that I decided to scale back.

I will try and find the thread to the DISigner that did the stick figure for me. She is awesome. Once I find it, I'll post it. The transfer was easy to do. I was scared to do it but it worked out well.

Yep, Matt was quite the shorty next to the gingerbread house. :lmao: He wanted to stand there and we wanted to get as much of the house in as possible. It was so cute to see this giant gingerbread house and this little dude standing next to it. :rotfl:

I just hung up with my mother who confirmed that she is packed except for her daily items like her hair brush, curling iron, etc. She is so funny.

Okay ~ I'm all caught up :)

Wow, you are organized! Love your scrapbooks!!! Those are great!

Your plans sound awesome ~ make sure to eat at Boma there at the AKL, it's wonderful!

We stayed at CSR on our first , actually 2nd visit to WDW in 2003 and it was nice. I don't have any desire to stay there again, I liked POR better, but then again I'm biased  I LOVE staying offsite! If I were to stay onsite for a few days it would be AKL :cloud9: Lucky you ;)

Good luck finding a surprise for your DH, sorry I have no ideas...

Loved the pics of your past trips, your DN's face painting, was that at MNSSHP? My two DS's got their faces painted just like that at our last MNSSHP, it was so cute!

HI:wave2: fellow Ohioian!! I'm from Kent.I am enjoying reading your PTR. It nice that your are sharing your love of Disney with your nephew. Great scrapbook pages , I love to scrapbbook, still working on my Sept 2006 book it has over 60 pages back and front. I like your binder too, I working on one for our Sept 2009 trip (hoping for free dinning) How did you make the interinary cards? It would be nice to have reminders, ( you think you will remember because you have it all in your head but you get so caught up in the magic it just fades away)
Are you planning a dinner at the Coral Reef? Your could have a diver hold up a sign wishing your hubby Happy anniversary. Or a photo shoot of the two of you at one of the resort?
Looking forward to reading more. Have a magicial day.

I have thought of staying off site but if we do, I'd like to rent a condo or something. I just never knew where to start looking.

The face painting was done on our last day somewhere in Toontown. He had been asking about it every day or our trip so my sister decided to let him have it done on our last day before we headed to the airport. It was quite the hit on the plane. He loved it!!!

We have stayed at ALK twice so far and believe it or not have not had a meal at either BOMA or Jiko. Hopefully we will get to try Boma as I hear the food is fab there.

Hey fellow Ohioan! I have a cousin in Kent. She is going to KSU. You're about an hour and 15 minutes away. :yay:

DH and I took Matt for his 10th birthday....just the three of us. We stayed at the AKL and had a savannah view. He LOVED it and said that he wants to stay with us instead of with gramma and his mom. He likes the deluxe properties. :lmao: He's a really great kid. He has ADHD so we were challenged at the beginning trying to occupy him while waiting in lines. He knows the drill now so he's doing much better with it. We just had to keep him from zig zagging all over the parks!

I wish we could bring my niece more often. She is my brother's daughter and her mother has only let us take her twice so far. We keep asking though. She is going to have major surgery in December  so hopefully we will be able to take her in 2010 with us once they remove the bar that they are going to put into her chest...long story.

If you PM me your email address I can send you the templates for the Itinerary cards. I got them from someone else on the DIS. They're awesome. The toughest part is reducing them before you print to 4x6. I then laminate them and I'm ready to go!

I went and got Disney scrapbook 12x12's so that I am ready to go once I get back home. Not sure if you have an Archiever's near you but they have a sign up list and send out coupons so I go there a lot too. Have fun finishing up your scrapbook!

I thought of Coral Reef however DH doesn't like it there. He is not a fan of the food. We went there one September for our anniversary and it was just not a good experience. Good idea though and had we not had a bad experience that is probably what I'd do.

Thanks for joining my PTR!

Hi - just found your PTR! Love it! Great scrapbooks - from all of our Disney trips I only have done 1 scrapbook. I feel like I take the same photos over and over - just different clothes-LOL. I'm the same age as you and totally Disney (and DIS) obsessed! Looks like we'll be arriving the week after you leave :sad2: - bummer! I'd have loved to have a meet. It's just going to be DH and I this time - we're empty nesters now so the kids don't come all the time. Oh, you should look into DVC - we love it! We're trying Boardwalk this time. Really looking forward to it! Hope you're going to do a TR when you get back!

Thanks for reading. DH and I have talked about DVC for a while now. We are AP holders and go at least two times, if not three, in a year. It would make sense to do it but so far we have not. We were looking int a resale over the winter but we just never did it. Maybe one day we will. :wizard:

When we go in September, we always go around the same time so that we can spend our anniversary there. Too bad we won't be there at the same time. :sad1:

I plan to do a TR when I get back. After I finish the TR, I will start to scrapbook the trip. :yay:

Hi i sent you a PM Thanks again for the offer. Yes I do have a Acherivers' (sp?) near us(Fairlawn) and their building a Hobby Lobby in Stow. Thanks for the goodluck on getting the scrapbook done , my problem is I can always find more things to scrapbook ( like my Ist grandson, and #2daughters wedding and oh yea! #1 daughters wedding who been married since 5/03)

I hope your niece surgury(sp?) come our fine, I will keep her in my prayers.

I notice a trend in your Disney trip alot are in Sept. Is that because of your anniversary? We will be celebrating our 35 wedding anniversary at WDW in Sept 2009. Our 2nd family trip the 1st with our :thumbsup2 grandson.

Again looking forward to reading more,(trying to get tips on how to do my own) Have a MICKEY day:mickeyjum
