Well after months and months of nagging Bruce it finally paid off. Of cause some other persuasions were needed
Bruce agreed to go to WDW. However his reply "It has to be on a tight budget". "Okay" I said. Not a great read, but here it goes:-
At first I wanted to find some cheap flights and I found North West Airlines were coming up cheap. Only problem is it means stop overs. Yeah ok beggers cant be choosers blah blah blah, but with three young kids. I must be crazy
I do the usual tell Bruce "well you can get your flights for X Y and Z. He agrees. So far we are travelling with North West Airlines and will arrive at 20:40 into Orlando.
I was not happy flying with NWA, so I started to look into VH flydrives and car hire. I noticed I could get a flyers club discount on the holiday. I decided I will approach Bruce and start to talk him around, but what a pain it would be to drag the kids around the airport etc.... I said it would only be £300 more to travel direct and we would have months to pay it, rather than straight away. Finally Bruce agreed. Great, flights sorted. Only prob was we needed to go on a Saturday, so £300 turned into £500. Bruce was not a happy bunny, but hey ho. I said I will work some extra flexi shifts to cover the extra.
Flights sorted, accomodation was next. Bruce wanted it to be cheap. We agreed on I Drive or LBV. I wasnt keen I love the disney magic back at the hotel. I showed Bruce tripadvisor on all the cheap hotels he liked. He wanted Sheraton Safari Hotel. I wasnt happy and after speaking to Claire about AP rates for hotels, I looked into it. I finally managed to persuade dh to book Port Orleans Riverside. So that was an extra £400. So far £900 over budget.
I wanted the boys day to be special, so I made some ADR's for the LTT and penciled in Mickeys BBQ. Mickeys BBQ was not on our budget
(remember he is an accountant, it is like getting blood from a stone when it comes to money), £60 more roughly to the budget, so far £960 over.
I can see Bruces mind ticking when I mention booking Casey into BBB. Well you cant celebrate the boys birthday and Casey has nothing. Thats not right. With that in mind and Caseys birthday a month away from the boys. I book Casey into BBB on Thanksgiving, but phoned today and changed it to the day we go to MVMCP.
I made a few more adrs. Chef Mickey on the night we arrive, LTT on the boys birthday and Whispering Canyon Cafe for Thanksgiving. Apparently the parks are heaving then. We have decided to make this a water park day.
So far we are £960 over, but I also need to tell him that the budget I gave him didnt include US or IOA
I wonder when I should tell him. Perhaps Saturday on our anniversary when we are watching Pirates of the Carribean he will be in a good mood. If so that would then make it whoooops £1
over £1217.00.
I am thinking of booking some other resturants:-
Le Cellier
San Angel
Crystal Palace
Garden Grill
Hollywood and Vine for Fantasmic (Bruce likes it here
)
Other resturants we will be eating at RFC, ?Raglad Road and some on 192
To be honest Bruce was under budgeting so it looked more appealing. I know we can afford it. I only work part-time so making my hours to full time for 2-3 months wont be much of a chore, considering it will all be for Florida. What else could I ask for.
Will be back with more updates.
Wish me luck on Saturday
