Pre-Trip Report for Three Princesses and a June Trip to the World, 6/24 We're Back!!

Okay DisneyJo...how much are you paying the tag fairy to be getting all those tags so quickly? I thought I have been quite witty at times and I am getting sick and tired of my "Almost wishing the summer away..." because I will probably never go back in November. With kids getting older, it's summer or bust!

Yes, I do love Dis, and no I haven't been in over 3 years (the longest time in my life!) No, we are Labor day through June....that's the way it goes on LI. Maybe I should move...haha But, I can't imagine going to school in August...that's just not right....haha

Oh, and thanks for the snacks...I was famished!

BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAKE & REAL CROCS!...Trust me...if I could get away with the fake/cheap ones I would! Get the fake ones for your kids....and the REAL ones for you!

OK ok ok maybe I will just get real Disney ones and skip the jibbitz that might fall off anyways.... I just wish they had green Disney ones for the adults

I've heard the same thing about the "fake" crocs. After wearing my Mickey crocs around the house tho I don't think I will wear them at the parks. Not because they aren't comfortable but, unless I wear socks with them, my feet get really sweaty! Can we all say, "Ewww?" However, I do have 2 crocs athens flip-flops that I will definitely be wearing.

I have a couple of fake pair and my feet don't sweat too much in them...you can get matching "croc socks" to wear with crocs?? Flip flops are hard to walk in all day for me...just saying for me...and lots of people just stick to their regular sneaks. I did hear a few people saying (actually I think it was Princess V??) that the crocs made them trip. So to each his/her own....I say just be comfortable and don't try new shoes in the park!

A couple of my favorite Disney memories....
The moment I first walked into MK with DH and Mackenzie, seeing the castle for the first time, Main St, it was everything I had always dreamed of.
The opening ceremony at MK, seeing all the characters, the song, the dancing, the family throwing confetti, I admit I got all teary eyed, i was so excited to finally be at Disney!!!!!!
Spectromagic parade....we thought this parade was really magical, great character interaction, and I love the song! It was so beautiful!!!
What I want to see most....WISHES!!! I am bringing earplugs for DD, HOPEFULLY this time I can watch it all!?!?!?!?!

Awesome memories!!! I have very vague memories of the parade when I was like 7 or 8 years old. And I dont remember any fireworks so I too am really looking forward to this trip I cry at just about anything emotional so I better pack tissues!!!

Okay, would you all believe that we have never seen Wishes yet either? We will definitely be seeing it in June!!!!!

Hey Blake is safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just watching as I am Dising! I am waiting too..but not very patiently.. Once May hits it will seem a lot closer. Plus I have a weekend field trip to Boston and Cape Cod with a busload of freshmen to chaperone. After that, the school year ends pretty quickly and then its Disney baby!!!!!!!!!!

So any more news on your friend and his DD who weren't sure whether or not they'd stay at POR? Are they still going to WDW too and where will they be staying? (I'm reduced to popcorn as Disneyolic's suggestive cookies ran out too fast )

So, yes, our friend is still going to Disney and we are all staying at POR in the Bayou section (hopefully). I had to change my itinerary and some ADR's but it all worked out. Did I update with my new plans here? I know I put it over on our June thread.... Ok well I will have to work on that...I am sorta in shopping mode right now Plus I have been reading your thread which is awesome!!! and many others so....time is limited. Plus I have been baking up something nice for tonight! I think you will approve ... its hot tea and pettifours. Course that is NOT how you spell it. Oh well....see below for something to eat!

I just took the pot of water off the stove and we are having hot tea and some cookies (sorry only the G rated kind ) and pettifours (tiny little decorated cakes).

Sorry but watching American Idol tonight has completely depressed me Anyone else?

Tonight I am working on researching the crocs...I just hate paying that much for a shoe. ( I am a shoe cheapie ..I admit it) I may not buy till end of May but I am just browsing.

Seriously I wear my Crocs 12 hours straight in the ER running around all over the place.. my feet don't hurt at all by the end of my shift. I wore them last year at Disney and loved them!
*in her best wrestler voice......Buy the crocs cuz medicgirl said so!


Oh and on the subject of the tagfairy... I feel like it's a clique I don't get to be a part of...reminds me of highschool or something!!! But thats ok we have a pretty open clique right here...we should call it the dessert posse or something! LOL!!!!!!

The thing is medicgirl, I read somewhere on the boards that if you go in and change the wording yourself like the way you have put "POR 6/15-6/22 07" under your 'name' then you won't be tagged cause the Tag Fairy doesn't change wording you've created yourself. At least that's what I've heard. Obviously the fact that I haven't touched the words 'DIS veteran' hasn't helped me one bit.

Yes, Idol last night did tear me up, especially when I had come back from the mall with all kinds of goodies for my kids! I'll be jumping on the Idol website today to contribute.

I've never worn socks with my Crocs and haven't had a problem. I think when you're outdoors, the air moving through the holes keeps things drier, maybe? Or, living down here, I'm jsut so used to being sweaty all the time, I don't notice anymore

AS for tripping, never had a problem with the Beach model or the Nile, but the Mary Janes do seem to keep tripping me up! But they're all so incredibly comfy, I won't wear anything else
