Hello we are going to DL ON april 18th for the first time.

We are WDW vets and DVC members (presently @ boardwalk , beachclub , and a founding member of animal kingdom )

WE Are staying AT GC .. what are the rooms realy like here ??

I think you will be impressed with the resort grounds and lobby, but will be a bit disappointed with the room size (unless you are getting a suite). The rooms at the GCH are a bit on the smallish side in comparison with the other two resort hotels and even the good neighbor hotels in the area. JMO!

I agree, the rooms are on the smallish side but well appointed...we had the queen with bunk beds. We did receive turn-down service and chocolates. The only thing I was surprised about was the pocket door for the bathroom! I think a regular door affords more privacy.

The location is the biggest draw for the Grand. And the lobby, atmosphere and service are great, too. It is a beautiful hotel and I hope you have a fabulous time!

I would say the look of the Wilderness, and the feel of the Grand Floridian. Very beautiful, craftsman style. Huge fireplace and a direct entrance into DCA. Super location!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought the rooms were beautiful, and really didn't think too much on the size being small. Great service while we were there. Good luck!!!! Oh the the Napa Rose it supposed to be a great restaurant at the resort. Have never been, but plan on next trip. Been to White Water Snacks which is really good, and a favorite of alot of DISSERS.

about 99% identical to either Animal Kingdom & Wildnerses lodges.

Large, with big lobby with fireplace. For whatever reason, it did feel smaller that Wilderness lodge.

Rooms about the same. They do have a fridge, flat screen TV with DVD, and internet access.
