Not so much me, but my dh and dd. Dear sweet mother of mercy, dh tries to cram 6 weeks of work into 3 days right before we leave....seriously it's like Christmas. Everyone knows when it's coming but waits til the last freaken minute to panic and run around like a chicken w/it's head cut off. So, he gets overtired (and has general anxiety to boot, hooray
), and gets sick.
Then my fil decides that while we are gone is a great time to have our kitchen floor replaced so he calls our carpenter, --our carpenter is his good friend--so, Kenny the carpenter shows up tonight to find out what we want done (really, did we not call you a month and half ago, where have you beeeeen??) Guess what, flippin everything needs to be moved out of the kitchen.
Dd goes into full panic mode worrying that her cat will escape during all this carpentry....so I had her make a nice sign for the door "Do Not Let Cat Out", and she made Kenny promise to lock the cat in her bedroom while he's working so the cat won't get outside.
OMG....one more night then we are en route to the hotel for the night before our flight. God, please remind me of this sometime this winter when I decide another trip is needed.
Seriously, only Disney is worth all this stressing out. And, when we land in Florida, miraculously everything just disappears and all will be fine. Happens every time.
Please tell me someone else goes through something similar?
