Some one help me please, I am losing the plot! :lmao:

I can't find where you can pre order the photopass online. :confused3 Am I right in thinking it's recently gone up in price too?

Thank you so much Anthony....I just could not find it earlier. :hippie:

I called disney's photopass number to enquire about this, as I wanted to know if I ordered it now, would the code still be valid when we got back late august. The man I spoke to said it's a code not really used by disney and that it's a promo by another company (?). He also said that it wouldn't be valid as it expires after 30 days, so to pre-order it just before we go. Seems strange to me that disney don't really know about the code - anyone else heard this or did I just get a disney dope?!

I did read that it is supposed to be a 'perk' of booking a certain way (I forget who with), which is why you won't find a link to that page anywhere on the Photopass site. Of course like any discount code it spreads by word of mouth so those not really "entitled" to use it can do because there are no checks in place.

It sounds like you got someone who doesn't know what they are talking about. I used it last year (just couldn't find it on the website last night.) I think the code expires if it's not used within 90 days but I know that some people on here have emailed them & they can reactivate it for you.

In my opinion it is definately worth pre prchasing as it saves you $50 & even if once you've viewed your photos after your holiday & decide that you don't want it as you haven't got many pics then they will refund you. :thumbsup2

Hope that helps.

This is what I was thinking of earlier

I sent an email asking about the pre-purchase offers, and the reply seems to imply that only WDW travel customers who have been specifically sent a promotion price offer and link by email can buy this, and even then it is only valid for 60 days. Interestingly there is no obvious way to pre-purchase the CD and/or photobook directly from disneyphotopass.com unless you first enter a photpass ID (which would be after a visit) or are given a link to this promotion by someone else.

Anyway, here is the reply I got from Disney (plus my original question to them)

Thank you for your recent visit to DisneyPhotoPass.com.

The pre-purchase offer is only made available through The Walt Disney World Travel Company. The offer is made on a random selection process.
If you are selected for this promotion, you will receive an e-mail from Disney Destinations 2 weeks prior to your vacation. The code is then good for 60 days from date of purchase. This e-mail will contain all instructions on how to complete your pre-purchase, claim your PhotoPass ID's, and complete your transaction when you arrive back home.

Sincerely,

Comments: If I pre-purchase a CD and photobook, is there a time limit I have to use it buy, as I do not travel to WDW until late October 2009

Thankyou

So presumably the email would give the link to the pre-purchase page from which those 'randomly selected' could get the discount. The Disney IT system being what it is though anybody can access the web page and take advantage of the offer.

We'll be there around the same time as you and want to do a photopass too. Care to share one? (our dates at Disney are 31 August - 14 September)
