Has anyone done a pre-park breakfast at Crystal Palace since the new opening? I just snagged one at 8:20, park opening is 9am that day. Do they let you in before the standard 8am? I still want the breakfast because Crystal Palace is tradition with my family, but wondering if there are still any perks with the new procedure.

From what I understand, they now allow people in before park opening up to the hub area in Mk. So no more empty park pictures :(

Also, since Crystal Palace is in the area inside the ropes, there is no PPO "advantage" to get to rides ahead of the masses. No empty park pictures, as everyone gets in starting at 7:45, and you won't be going beyond any ropes.

Book CP PPO because you want Pooh French Toast and pix with Tigger before starting your day, not for empty park pictures or because you'll be beyond the ropes.

Do PPO breakfast have any advantage for off site guests on an EMH morning for onsite guests?

Not really. During EMH, they scan your magic band before letting you on rides to make sure you're an onsite guest, so you wouldn't be able to take advantage of any "early" riding time.

I guess you could view being in a certain area of the park ahead of the RD crowd and having a meal down before the day begins for everyone as a benefit.

Thanks! We love Garden Grill and have an 8:15am breakfast on an EMH, thinking it would be nice to position ourselves at Soarin or TT ahead of crowd after meal. The meal is our main attraction so I think I'll keep it.

For OP, you might consider doing CP breakfast at, say, 10:30 am. Keep the tradition but get 1.5 hours of ride time first.

OP - we did this last year! Loved the later breakfast after time in the park. We did get lucky because MK ended up changing opening to 8am so we got a full 2 hrs in before our breakfast.

Thanks, that's what we figured...loved the empty park pictures from the past. We can't miss the Pooh Characters in a visit so, CP is a must do. Since it will be 40 mins before opening we will probably still keep it as opposed to a 10:30 breakfast which is a hard time for my kids 5 and 2.

We did Garden Grill on a non-emh day and were done by 8:40. Walked onto Soarin' twice before the crowds got there.

Pooh's french toast is my primary reason for booking CP breakfast whether PPO or not. :rolleyes1

We PPO'ed BoG at 8:20 last week and pre-ordered food, we got out just as the mad rush got to Mine Train. We were able to ride barnstormer, dumbo, and teacups and got a picture with the Queen of Hearts and Merida while everyone was in line for Mine Train (mostly because we had a mine train FP 40 minutes after we got out of BoG)

We were let in around 7:45 when we got there and had to walk up behind the castle on the adventureland side, which you wont with CP.

With CP I'd be worried about getting stuck behind the mad rush to new fantasy land and try to get all the adventure land rides out of the way first.

We also have an 8:20 ADR at BOG on a 9:00 opening day. Did you enter at 7:45 at a particular spot that was handling ADRs? Or were you just let in with all of the early arrivals for MK for the day? And did you wait until 8:20 to check-in at BOG? I have read that in the case of early morning breakfasts at BOG, you can check-in a little early for your reservation and you will be allowed in to the restaurant.

@barbliny It was an early Morning Magic Event from 7:45-9:00 so I'm not sure what time they would have let us in if it weren't but I thought the new opening procedure regardless of early morning magic event lets everyone in early around 7:45 but you can't go past the castle unless you have an ADR in or behind the castle. Maybe someone else can confirm?

They were checking reservations by scanning my MagicBand on the left side of the hub around the liberty square / adventure land side before heading up the right rear path behind the castle.

We checked in early around 8:10 and got a seat in the not crowded at all Rose Gallery. Preordering was key as we got to get to our seat while others were ordering. We had a tough time getting our food because I went to get a drink after we got our table and they couldn't find our table, new plan is for me to wait with my band until I get my food and have someone get my drink while I camp the table so the food doesn't get routed incorrectly.
