Pre-cruise plans for family with young kids out of Miami

We're (fingers crossed) taking a cruise out of Miami in late February, and we'll fly in to the area likely 2-3 days before our cruise.

We'll have our kids with us (ages 6, 4, almost 3, and 8 months), and I'm pondering what we should do during these days. I'm a bit nervous taking all the kids to the Everglades until they're a bit older, but we think that some beach time could be fun.

Does anyone have recommendations for ideas of how to spend this time and for family-friendly things to do in Miami?
