I just got off the phone with my mom. My former sister-in-law's mother had called this morning to say that my nephew Neil and his wife went to the hospital last night and that labor was going to be induced.
Mary (the one who called) said that Erin (Neil's wife)was having all sorts of health problems and the baby was in danger. She is a Hepatitis C carrier, and she has a staph infection as well as "something that's a really big word that I (Mary) can't pronounce". The doctors have apparently told them that the baby could be stillborn or deaf or blind.
We haven't heard anything further yet. My mom is going to call in a little while if we still haven't heard anything.
