Ok, so I know this has probably been said before, but anyway...
We just got back in the early hours this morning from a weekend in DLRP, the 4th time we have been. Every time we have been before the attitude of our fellow europeans has been dodgy to say the least, but this trip has been really bad.
From getting on the VEA bus at Orly airport we have been pushed, shoved, trampled on, almost lost our heads due to backpacks swung at our heads...nightmare.
Whatever queue we have been in there has been someone desperately
trying to get in front, so we have been doing the 'spread the family' method, by which I mean standing side by side like a roadblock!
The adults are worse than the kids - watching them fight to get the kids on the carousel is scary! In the queue to check into Santa Fe people were just going straight to the front of the desk, ignoring anyone who may be already stood waiting.
I did discover another good tactic while waiting in the queue for the loo. A woman came and leaned on me so hard to see how big the queue was I nearly fell over, and then she continued to stand so close to me you couldn't have got a sheet of paper in between us! So, I began coughing really loud and sniffing as though I had the worst flu ever - that worked, and she took a step back!
The worst thing was the woman who threw her cigarette over her shoulder, and how it missed my 4 year old son I'll never know. Yes, I did shout at her!
So, praise for all us Brits - we may be known for our 'reservedness' but I would rather be like that and have respect for other people than treat people like we have been treated over the last couple of days. After our WDW trip last year you can't help but compare the 2 places and WDW wins hands down every time, no contest. At the moment I don't know if I would go back to DLRP -= if I did we would stay a a hotel within walking distance so as to avoid the scrum on the buses!
Despite having said all this, we have had a great weekend, been on loads of rides and really enjoyed ourselves!
