How has SDMT been working for the PPO BOG crowd not on EMM mornings lately? Are they letting them on early or are they held back until the rope drop crowd arrives?

We did this in June and September. Both times we were let in before the rope drop crowd, but only got one ride in (compared to the 3-4+ rides we’ve gotten in the past).

I'm good with one ride! Mostly I was worried because Touring Plans had me waiting 40+ minutes. I didn't think THAT could be right first thing.

Touring plans doesn’t know if you’ll be first in line or arriving at the Park as it opens. TP plans for the worse of the 2 scenarios.
It will be a 40+ minute wait for the people getting in line as your riding -
So TP isn’t wrong, your just ahead of schedule.

We just did this last week - a BOG breakfast at 8:15AM on both days. We arrived early, did mobile ordering, and were done around 8:30AM, which is when we went to stand in line. One morning was a 9AM morning and the other was an EMM morning.

On the 9AM morning, we were let in right at 9AM. On the EMM morning, we walked through the whole line area and were waiting at the ride boarding area by 8:50AM, while the EMM crowd finished up their rides. We only got 1 ride in before the crowds descended.

Edited to add that we loved the entire experience, from mobile ordering the BOG breakfast, to being on the first ride (3rd car in) of 7DMT.

Enjoy!

What time would you recommend BOG ADR? I know the earlier the better, but I was able to get a 8:45am (a 9am park open). The last time I was at BOG the service too FOREVER. If I am not able to move up my ADR do you think I should keep the 8:45 or rope drop it? I don't want to have to completely inhale our breakfast.

All PPO reservations get let in at the same time, doesn’t matter if your ADR is 8am or 8:45. Get to the park by about 745ish, you’ll be let in along with all other PPOs. Preorder your food and you should be done in plenty of time.

Make sure you preorder. And you'll still need to not dawdle but it worked out great after thanksThanks!

On the same note, how much time do you allow for PPO photos? What would be a reasonable check-in and excepted seating for the ADR at the restaurant itself for the 8:45? Think it could be as early as 8:15?
I didn't get a FP for SDMT so trying really hard to beat the crowds.

Also, if you are amongst the first to get into the restaurant, you can grab a sit next to one of the windows with snow outside. Probably not a big deal, but we really enjoy it, so we do try to get to BOG ahead of the majority of people. It is not difficult, there is no real rush and clearly not too many people value table by a window that highly.

It's funny you say that. Last time we were there we ate in the library portion. This time I told my husband I want to be by the rose or the windows! :-)

The PPO line builds quickly. If your goal is 7DMT I would not stop for PPO pictures. We did that one of out MK days (just at one photo pass) and ended up waiting quite a while to get in the restaurant.
