I hope the brexit fun and games don't put too much more of a dent in the pound value...:sad2:

As I vaguely remember when I went in 2010 and we had all the faff or the General Election and the coalition it went down to about $1.35 which isn't great.

Given that it's only at $1.38 now, you aren't much worse off than then :(

It's annoying :( I was planning on using a Halifax Clarity credit card this time but I'm seriously considering getting some cash incase it goes down any further.

I book everything through an American TA so pay in dollars. Usually this works out cheaper so fingers crossed the pound won't go down any further.

We used to go when it was $2.60 to the pound! My hubby first trip was around $1.80 and that was 2006
I'd be happy with anything over $1.50 now! I was utterly gutted and shocked to see today's rate.
I'm seriously hoping it comes bk up for September as I'm not going to afford to go otherwise at this rate.

Got to admit, this is one of the nice things about going to Canada this summer. I booked our Vancouver hotel the other night and got my credit card statement yesterday - 2.075 CAD to the £ :dogdance:

Had a panic then, thought it had crashed since I last looked yesterday. Still at £1.41 thankfully, hopefully it has bottomed there. I have around $3,000 to pay on cruise in a couple of months.

I was talking tourist rate ;)

On my spending money it's not gonna make a huge impact.

Suck for those with big USD Balances to pay though :(

Not good for us, next couple of months I have cruise at $3k, 4 nights hotel in Nashville at $1.5k(although half is my Brothers) plus 16 nights spending in the Deep south. But we have had trips at over $2/£1, had some very cheap trips over the years.

I guess it all balances out over the years!

We're planning a Tennessee to Texas Road trip plus a week in WDW in 2017, will see how Brexit plays out in the coming month before I put a budget number down!

Well even though I'm not heading out till November, I was hoping to book a Run Disney race. The registration opens next month and the fee will be in dollars so would like the rate to edge back up..

Also with Easter coming and a lot of people with Plans for some Disney Holiday Fun I do hope this is short lived.

Although considering we have four months till the vote, I can see the rate having more ups and downs, twists and turns than Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. :scared1::earseek:

The difference it will make in that amount would be minimal - pennies!

Oh no it's keeping on that downward trend  today the BBC has the Market rate as 1.39200 and Post office is exchanging at 1.36.:scared:
