This probably isnt the right board, but I just have to tell you all that Ive just gotten home from our 6th viewing of POTC and Im still cheering it in places! I just love this movie!

Adn get this I have now run into two seperate people (one person and one whole family), who have never ever been on the ride? Its child abuse I say!

Well...You go girl!

I only saw it twice. But, we have a photo of J.D. and O.B. on our front desk at work. A client noticed it the other day and we struck up a conversation about the movie.

I love this movie also! Ok, I am a big Johnny Depp fan.
He was fantastic in this movie. Now I have to wait until it comes out on DVD. I will be the first in line to get this movie!

I've seen it 6 times too, and I'll probably see it again this week, since I think I'm having withdrawals.

Awesome movie.

I have you beat it is 10 at the moment and will probably go 3 time per day for the rest of this week until friday when I leave for Disney World. I also have the script and most of the still shots from the movie already, can't wait for Dec. 2 when the DVD comes out and I can't wait for the sequel hope it is as good.

We saw it for the first time today! This is an awesome movie. Lots of adventure, laughs, LOVE, & great story all together. This is one I'll get when released on DVD.
A Pirates Life for Me! arh arh arh! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Saw it for the 3rd time this past weekend. I just really like this movie - hope to see it again within the next couple of weeks!!

I'll be seeing it for the second time this weekend, which is BIG for me because (1) we never go see movies anymore  , and (2) I never pay money to go see a movie for the second time (just wait for the DVD).;) This weekend I'm taking some friends to see it who have yet to go :o .

Anyway, I have a question. I've been told that there is a scene at the end of the credits that sets up for a sequel. Is this true? Or are my students trying to pull a fast one on me?:p TIA.:D

There is a tiny scene with the monkey at the end and there is a sequel but whether they are related or not is not clear.
But all the main actors have been signed for the sequel including Geoffrey Rush [Barbosa] so either what the monkey does brings him back to life or they are doing something like a prequel or flashbacks.

edited to correct spelling

My family LOVED this movie as well. Jonny Depp was awesome in it! However, I'm sad to say, we only saw it once....it's expensive to take 6 people to the movies each time!!! My husband and I just got back from Disney last night, and we had to make sure to ride TPOC at MK. It was fun seeing some of the similarities, especially the jail scene.

My DW and I noticed some coincidences about the movie (aside from the rides association with the movie) and WDW anyone else see anything? or are we just stretching things

1) Port Royale (movie) - Old Port Royale -Caribbean Beach Resort

2) Cap'n Jack (movie) - Cap'n Jacks Restaurant - Downtown Disney

3) Coronado - Coronado Springs Resort (a bit of a stretch I know)

anyone else?

We saw it yesterday for the 1st time, arrrrrrrr...........

.....and loved every minute of it. It was far better than I expected.

Thanks to these boards, we stayed until the credits were over to see the final scene. (I never saw so many credits in my life!!) By the time that last scene played, we were the only ones sitting in the theatre.

. . . . And I wondered just how few people ever saw that last scene.

Seen it three times and broke down and bought the soundtrack today (listening to it now!) I could see it again (&again) but I think DH is getting jealous;) He's being quite the good sport about it though - He set our screen saver to the poster and said he was going to be a pirate for Halloween (I said don't bother - it's all about the hair and the beaded beard!)

On our trip two weeks ago, I got a smile from some teens in front of us in the line. The song was playing and I started with the entire dialog of "I love this song..." I think I impressed them that I could resite the whole thing! Then afterwards, we had a family photo taken with Hook and Smee. I stood next to Hook and said "well, you're hardly Cap'n Jack, but I guess I'll stand next to you" He shot me a "look" (still smiling of course!)

Is there ANY clue when they will release this on DVD? Nemo has been announced already for November and that grossed more $.
I need some form of a clear answer SOON! :bounce:

Ahhh...that movie was awesome!! I've only seen it twice (im not made of money) lol....I was so excited when i found out about the movie coming out...then i was even more excited when i found out that johnny was a hooottt pirate. Im OBSESSED with him!!!

for all johnny fans: who's excited about once upon a time in mexico....me!!!!!!

We saw it for the 3rd time today. I still am in LOVE w/this movie! It is my new favorite :) I am also so in love w/Captain Jack Sparrow in particular that I am turning my husband into him for halloween (I may never let him go back LOL). I have always enjoyed Depp's films, but I was never really into him until Captain Jack; however, I have now seen the light!

Thankfully, the movie is slated to be released on DVD Dec 2nd! It will save me a lot of $$$ in movie tickets LOL

December 2nd? Wow, I cant wait!

But I'm wondering whether Disney will push the DVD release back since it's doing so well in the theatres. I hope not, but this last weekend, it moved back up to 3rd in the US Box Office. Not shabby for a movie in it's 8th week.

Just talking about the movie makes me want to go see it again!:Pinkbounc

I think I am personally keeping it in it's place on the charts today will be number 13 seeing it for me.
I have heard both Dec. 2 and my local video store says Nov 2 for DVD release
I have four grown sons, in their 20's and One Joe is the spitting image of Orlando Bloom and another Andy is Jack Sparrow even has the beard and long hair all he needs are some dreadlocks and beads and an head scarf. It is really uncanny I have compared the pictures side by side and it is weird.
Anyway it is now my all time favorite movie. and that is saying something, saw Return of the Jedi 42 times in the theaters.

It was an awesome movie, very unexpected. I plan on seeing it again myself. Johnny Depp was awesome, now I can only hope that Haunted Mansion will be as good, or at least close
