Posting under other names

Have you ever posted under a screen name, other than the one you are typically known by?

I added a choice other than Yes or No because I know some posters who have had to change screen names for one reason or another. They are not trying to hide who they are but had to register another name.

I have one screen name Lanshark.

Does anyone else care to fill in what names they're known by on the DIS?

I used to post under the name MZDavis. DW and I shared the that name at first. When the DIS moved to new boards, we went with separate names, MeanLaureen and Obi-Wan Pinobi.

Now the only name I post under is MeanLaureen if I forget to log her out.

I have, and probably always will be Deb in IA -- because I don't know how to change my screen name . . .

I used to be just BedKnobbery, but closed the email account associated with it, and then couldn't remember the password, so I very imaginatively went with BedKnobbery2 as the alternative.

I have another alias, but I don't post under that name very often. The reason why I had to create the alias is why I don't like to post under it very often, and why only a couple of people know the alias' id.

When I signed up here before my last Disney trip, I had no idea I had signed up previously with another name. (alas yet another senior moment ) And I seemed to have to control over which name I logged in with. So, sometimes my posts came from one name, sometimes the other. Some help from the technical board finally settled my split personality problem

Once I posted under Grumpylilsis by accident. I forgot she was logged in while I was on her computer. That is it though.

I started out as just cc, but then I found there were quite a few people(most of them are/were moderators) that had names that could go by cc...not to mention its used for "Castaway Cay" on the cruise boards. So, I got creative and expanded it to CamColt. Maybe if I get bored Ill change to CameronColton someday.

Back in 2000 I wuz someone else when I first came here. But, then a "lady" started whigging out on me in the Transportation forum. Even had some of my posts deleted by the moderators, then she started sending weird PM's to me. The moderators were no help (big number poster vs me with a few hundred), so I just reregisted as I am now. No problems or run in's since I reregistered. Have not seen her around here for some time now.

Yeah, I changed my name here a few times for similar reasons, but the FIRST time I changed it because I had simply lost my login information. LOL

Remember when I did the "just for fun" one too? I was Uncle Ed to MNgoofy's Aunt Ruth. It was a lot of fun to pretend to be a GUY!
