I remember slightly ages ago on someone tp or post that there suit cases were full and they had to send some things home.

So my question is; if i were to be like that ( knowing me, i will prob be, buying loads) where will i be able to post things back home? if i were to get a corrier, it would cost far too much money, so will just rely on the postal system.
Is there a store in DLP that i can post packages home, or is there a post office nearby?

TIA X

You have a post office at the RER/Train station right at the entrance gates to the park.

They sell pre paid boxes so you could send things back home but it is costly. You have 2 boxes
L - up to 5kg, mesuring in mm (LxWxH) 315 x 210 x 157 = cost 26,90€
XL - up to 7 kg mesuring in mm (LxWxH) 383 x 250 x 195 = = cost 31,10 €

This is Colissimo Emballage International

You can also go to Auchan supermarket at Val d'Europe (1 stop on the train or bus) and buy paper, tape etc and make your own parcel and then send things at a normal international rate which are as follows

1 kg 16,05 €
2 kg 17,65 €
3 kg 21,30 €
4 kg 24,95 €
5 kg 28,60 €
6 kg 32,25 €
7 kg 35,90 €
8 kg 39,55 €
9 kg 43,20 €
10 kg 46,85 €

Hth :)

Am I the only one thinking:

"I'd rather pack my Disney purchases in my suitcase, but this sounds like a great way to get my Dirty Laundry home. I don't care if That never makes it back..."

:rotfl: that sounds about right! We used to go to DLP on the eurostar but now we take the car which turns out to be much cheaper but also you can load up on souvenirs in the boot! :thumbsup2

Thanks alot for that, im liking the sound of the boxes.

For a corrier, i was qouted £350 for a 20lb box!!!! Soooo this is by far cheaper!!

Also i was also thinknig of just sending my washing home, and put my goodies in the suitcase, where i know there safe!! haha :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Are you flying? It might be worth seeing how much it would cost to up your luggage allowance.

Sorry, I've just checked and it's going to be €55 for an additional bag so probably not a good option after all unless you're planning on buying some extremely heavy items!

think i will just stick with posting things home. I might not need it, but its good to know what to do if i have too.

That is a good idea :thumbsup2

Don't know if this a silly question or not but doesn't your little one get a baggage allowance seeing as you are flying with AF and not a charter company where you pay for everything ?

Because if he does you could always use that for the souvenirs

Yes!

In some ways, we shot ourselves in the foot by buying the daughter a smaller suitcase that she could wheel along herself (as I recall, we crammed about 11kg into it).

Had we used a full-size suitcase, we'd have been laughing goodies wise - but it wouldn't have been the most practical solution in the world. A full size suitcase each, and a not-light carry on each was quite enough, while still trying to monitor the little un with her own carry on and case.

(I must say though, we packed quite heavily, and only just got to the 17-18kg mark each, and thats for a 6 day visit. For shorter journeys, with likely a minimum of 20kg, I suspect the cases would be easily light enough to buy with abandon while there.)

:scared1: How much do you pack for 2 week holidays :lmao:

You had 34-36 kg of luggage plus 3 carry ons for 6 days .... we go with 1 bag weighing 22kg for 2 weeks and the tickets etc in a cross body bag. Then like that you can bring back another back full of clothing, souvenirs, beauty products, food etc etc :goodvibes

We just posted 2 of the 7kg boxes back to Australia (it cost us a little more to Aus, but still way cheaper than risking excess luggage fees). We were so impressed by this service - it took only 8 days for the parcels to get here (3 days after we arrived home ourselves). They actually got here before some of the postcards we sent at the same time.
