I was wondering if anyone would be interested in sending Disney postcards to my husband. I know it might seem kind of childish, but I thought I'd ask anyway, when it comes to your love for Disney I am hoping there are no age limits. You see he's been in Iraq for 4 months and has another 8 plus left. Receiving mail is the highlight of his day so I thought this would be a great way to pass some time. We both love and are big fans of anything Disney.
You can email me at:
carlavip@yahoo.com
and I'll send anyone who is interested in doing this his address. Thanks in advance for brightening his day.

Carla what a wonderful thing to do for yur dh as he so bravely serves for our country. Would he be interested in email from children?

Yes, as long as it doesn't become junk email (you know how those pesky things can be). I know of a class that even had sent him letters. email me and I can send you his email. Thanks!

I can send him a postcard direct from Castaway Cay if you think it would get there in time (our next cruise is at the end of Labor Day week). We mail a batch for kids from the postcard thread every trip, so we'd be happy to mail one for a "big kid." If you think it would get there, email me at disneycruise@mailblocks.com with the address. Just remember, Bahamas mail can be SLOW.

I didn't find the postcards in the desk drawer of our stateroom until we were packing to come home. I kept them, wasn't sure what to do with them. I had one on my desk just to stare at when I missed the Magic. Now it is on it's way to Iraq. I can't think of a better use for it. God bless you.

I sent you an e-mail. Thanks to you and your family for everything you are doing for our country right now!:D

Hi Carla

I must have missed your original post a few days ago, I'm so glad it was on top today. Now I know why I haven't seen you around on the boards, you must be very busy as a single mom right now. Hope all is well, and we would love to send your DH a postcard. My DS that was with me when we met at the CC reception remembers that your DH was military and has asked me on occassion when the news is on if I thought he was in Iraq. He would be thrilled to send a letter to him. I have emailed you and look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Carla - I have sent you an email requesting your hubby's address - I don't have any of Disney, but I sure can send him some great ones of the shuttles and postmarked from here at Cape Canaveral, Florida - My two grandsons Mike and Nick were there for a year and really enjoyed getting mail from home - Thanks for sharing with us and may your loved one get home real soon.
God's blessings to you and yours
Always
Norm and Shirley
