I've been taking a break from message boards, but I had to post some food pics from our past Feb trip for you guys to drool over.

Chef Mickey's Dinner:

Fruit salad, caesar salad, and tossed salad

Pasta salad, macaroni salad, salad fixin's

Olives, shrimp salad, peel & eat shrimp

Kids menu - cheese pizza, peas, chicken strips, mac & cheese

Roasted chicken and teriyaki chicken

Salmon with wasabi sauce and baked rigatoni

Brocolli floret alamandine and Pork Chops with forestiere sauce

Fried rice, Mickey ravioli with marinara sauce, garlic steamed green beans, mandarin orange glazed baby carrots

Slow roasted prime rib, glazed ham

German chocolate cake and key lime tarts

Sugar free squares

Carrot cake

Chocolate mousse cake

Cheesecake, chocolate mousse cake, and some gummi bears

Build your own ice-cream concoction (my son made this)

Pastalaya - shrimp, sauteed chicken breast, bell peppers, onions and Andouille sausage tossed in a hot and spicy Cajun sauce and served over linguini $18.99 (may be served with rice on request)

Rainforest Rascals - three charbroiled kid-sized mini-burgers $5.99

Python Pasta - plateful of pasta served with your choice of Alfredo, butter or marinara sauce $5.99

Mojo Bones - A full rack of slow-roasted pork ribs, basted with Smokin' Mojo BBQ Sauce, served with cole slaw and Safari fries. $23.99

Mixed Baby Greens - Fresh seasonal greens with our sherry vinaigrette and a goat cheese-topped crostini. $6.25 (Add chicken $2.00) and Caesar - Crisp romaine hearts, garlic croutons, freshly grated parmesan, and our signature Caesar dressing $6.25

Thai Noodle Salad - A cold noodle salad with cucumbers, peanut dressing and chopped peanuts. $6.95 (Add chicken $2.00)

WP - Four Cheese - Mozzarella, Fontina, parmesan, and creamy goat cheese with fresh and sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, and pesto sauce $9.25

WP - Pesto Chicken - Pulled rotisserie chicken tossed with basil, red onion, and garlic pesto, mixed baby greens, and tomato $6.95

Mint chocolate chip ice cream on a chocolate chip cookie at POFQ. The ice cream was great, but the cookie tasted burned and was overly crispy.

Columbia Harbor House last week --

The clam chowder was great, but I'm sorry it no longer comes in a bread bowl.

The fish and chicken baskets were great - not greasy at all.

While the terrace floor was quite dirty (obviously hadn't been cleaned up the night before), we really enjoyed our early morning breakfast at Fountain View Cafe last week.

Fruit cup for my dd...

Breafast Pockets for dd and me (These were excellent -- full of sausage, egg, cheese, and bacon.)

older ds' chocolate croissant..

younger ds' fruit (apple) croissant (much, much tastier than it looks)...

and the mess!!!

There was a fellow busily wiping tables and washing windows, but we never saw him push a broom around this place!

Main Street Bakery last week --

Breakfast at Tusker House last week --

Older ds wanted this cinnamon roll. It looked dry to me. While it wasn't a super moist, chewy cinnamon roll, it was far better than I expected. We ended up having another later in the week.

Scrambled Egg platter with "home fries" (really these are cheesy hash browns with a touch of onion -- quite yummy), a biscuit, and lots of crispy bacon (Older ds raves about the bacon here!!)

Sadly, dd spilt our drink on the bisuits and gravy just as we were seated; and we had been the last customers to be able to go through the breakfast line. Drats!!

Lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe last week --

Older ds ordered the Tilapia special. It was soooo good!! We all wanted to lick the plate!

I had the Grand Sandwich. This was so rich and good! I couldn't eat it all!

Lunch at the Brown Derby last week --

Older ds had the noodle bowl. He liked it, but I didn't really care for it. It was too bland for my taste.

I had the sea bass special. It was fixed in the same manner as the grouper normally is and cost the same price (although dh noticed in time that we were charged $6 more than the posted price. We also were overcharged for ds' noodle bowl!)
