Pumpkin Bread Pudding with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream & Vanilla Sauce
n25002324_33170756_3323.jpg

Everything looks delicious! I really love pumpkin desserts, so that pumpkin bread pudding really stood out. How was it?

Here are my pics from my last trip, October 2007.

First some odd shots from around the property.

Catina De San Angel: Plato del Nino - grilled chicken and cheese quesadilla, tortilla chips and a small soft drink $3.99
Mexico.jpg

My Verdict: Good for what it was, I needed a small bite and found I could use an adult counter service credit for this. It also came with a choice of 2 desserts. Doesn't exactly look appetising in pictures however!

The Concourse Steakhouse: Triple Chocolate Cake $5.99 (in the background is a Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri)
ConcourseTripleChocCake.jpg

Our Verdict: Excellent, one of the best chocolate cakes to be found at WDW, gutted this place is closing down.

Hollywood & Vine: Dessert Options from Buffet
(Blackberry Cobbler, Carrot Cake, Key Lime Pie, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Cheesecake, Chocolate Brownie & Chocolate Mousse)
HollywoodVineDesserts.jpg

Our Verdict: This was the only place that disappointed in our trip so I decided to taste test the entire dessert counter instead! All were nice if not the best examples of their kind available at WDW. This opinion was agreed by all our group.

Coral Reef:The Chocolate Wave $7.99
TheWave.jpg

Our Verdict: Fantastic dessert, no strong alcohol taste at all, although you could tell it wasn't just ordinary chocolate in the middle. Will definately get this again.

Now our desserts from the Yacht Club Galley.

Blueberry Cheesecake - White chocolate cheesecake with graham cracker crust topped with blueberries $5.49
BlueberryCheesecake.jpg

Verdict: DF ordered this without the blueberrys as he doesn't touch fruit. He said it was good but not the best.

Creme Brulee - Maple infused creme brulee served with orange biscotti $5.99
CremeBrulee.jpg

Verdict: DF's mum had never eaten creme brulee before and decided to give it a try. She really liked it and said it was very light.

Chocolate Mousse - dark chocolate mousse served with housemade mango gelato $5.99
DarkChocMoussewithMangoGelato.jpg

My Verdict: Probably the best dessert I had all trip, the sweet & tart mango gelato was incredible and worked perfectly with the quite bitter mousse. The presentation was the best all trip too.

Fruit, Marshmallow, and Brownie Kebab
FruitMarshmallowBrownieKebab.jpg

Verdict: DF's dad spotted this on the dessert table as we entered and decided he had to have it! No problem ordering off the kids menu with dining plan. He loved it!

Beef and Barley Soup - rich beef broth and fresh vegetables $5.99
BeefandBarleySoup-richbeefbrothandf.jpg

Verdict: Very light and tasty according to DF's dad.

Beefsteak Tomato Stack - with caramelized onions, marinated mozzarella and yuzu vinaigrette $7.99
BeefsteakTomatoStack-withcaramelize.jpg

Verdict: Caused some suprise when it turned up as DF's mum was expecting something tiny which this is anything but! She thought it was really tasty.

Spicy Chicken and Chipotle Sausage - with creamy polenta and sweet onion jam $8.99
SpicyChickenandChipotleSausage-with.jpg

Verdict: DF got these but found he couldn't finish them as they were too spicy for him. He does have a very sensetive pallate but I thought they were very hot when I tried a bite too, not sure if they were supposed to be like that. Not the best unless you like hot food.

Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup - smoked bacon and Moosehead beer $5.49
CanadianCheddarCheeseSoup-smokedbac.jpg

Verdict: The DIS classic, I couldn't eat at Le Cellier without trying it! I thought it was delicious, nothing like what I'd expected. A lovely warm, frothy consistency, I imagine it would be even better on a cold winter day. Not too cheesy either.

7 oz. Filet Mignon - with roasted Yukon gold potatoes $27.99
FilletSteakwithRoastedYukonGoldPota.jpg

Verdict: This was DF's option as he doesn't like cheesy mash, yes it's well done - I apologise (his dad was the same - poor waitress almost fainted!) He loved it.

7 oz. Filet Mignon - glazed with maple barbecue sauce and accompanied by cream cheese mashed potatoes $27.99
FilletSteakwithCreamCheeseMashnoBBQ.jpg

My Verdict: This was mine, medium without the BBQ sauce as I wanted the full flavour of the steak. It was the best steak I have ever had and certainly earned Le Cellier it's high DIS reputation in my eyes. We will be coming back here on honeymoon next year and I will certainly be ordering this again. DF's dad enjoyed his incinerated one too.

Seared Free Range Chicken - over sweet corn pudding and roasted fall vegetables finished with mushroom broth $19.99
SearedFreeRangeChicken-oversweetcor.jpg

Verdict: DF's mum ordered this as she doesn't eat red meat. Despite picking over the "weird stuff" under the chicken for a while, she eventually decided it was one of the best chickens she's had.

Chocolate Moose $4.99
ChocMoose.jpg

Verdict: Despite being on the dining plan, this was the only dessert we ordered as we had a birthday cake for DF's mum coming this night. We just had to have one though as we'd seen it go to another table and DF's dad wanted a close up look! It was very tasty indeed and came home with the cake to live in our BCV fridge for the rest of the week.

Cake pics will be on the cake thread tonight.

Here are some pictures from our meal at the Hoop-de-doo Revue! All of the food came out hot and fresh!

Kimberly, I have a silly question, do you remember if the corn bread plain or does it have chunks of corn in it?
Thanks!

I also had this steak, but with the bbq sauce, and it also was the best steak I had ever had. The knife melted through the meat.

Ooohhh -- to have one of those right now!

3 weeks and a lot of mis-used work hours later.....

I am done every page in this thread!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree! I was going to post the same thing -- I was hesitant about the bbq sauce, as I couldn't imagine it on steak, but decided to try it, and it was delicious!
They use a very light hand on the sauce, so anyone thinking about trying it, don't be afraid to! :)

Great pics everyone!

Does anyone know if there are any extra vegetarian options offered at Hoop-de-doo?

This is a quote from a Trip Report(not mine)
"I had requested veggie meals for the kids and me, and Disney dining had called me that morning to confirm it. I ordered the kids pizzas and myself a steamed veggie plate. They were all really good. We all loved the cornbread too, and the meat-eaters said their meal was good. DS5 ate almost an entire serving bowl of shortcake by himself, so I think we can safely say he liked that. We all did."

I have also heard Vegetable Lasagna and Spaghetti and of course salad. Call now since you are close to going and ask.

Here is a page full of tips on how to find out. Good Luck and Enjoy.

Great! Thanks for the information!
I know most places have one vegetarian offering and it doesn't have to be ordered in advance.
So, I will have to give them a call! :thumbsup2
