I'm finally getting around to posting the pictures from our July/Aug trip to the world. Unfortunately, the picture quality turned out even worse this year. I had no idea that was possible.:lmao:

My sister loves that! She didn't like mayonaise or vegetables when she was younger, so that's what she would eat on BLT night.

I am salivating. Everything looks so good! Only 2 weeks to go!

that shrimp salad sandwich looks yummy! just wanna make sure if it's recent as I am looking at the menu on allears and dont see it (updated Nov 2007)

thanks![/QUOTE]

We are there in October 2006. It was a lunch special, if I remember you has 2-3 choices of soup and 2-3 choices of sandwiches (shrimp, chicken, and tuna... maybe).

*New* Tusker House Restaurant

DH & I ate at the New Tusker House Restaurant today and we were very impressed! :thumbsup2 It reminded me a lot of Boma and all of the food was fantastic! It's set-up like an open air market. I couldn't believe how many different food options they had available on the buffet and they had a large desert area right in the middle. :goodvibes

The entrance is now on the opposite side and they have removed the original Tusker House sign. There is not really a sign for the restaruant now. :confused3

Wow, thanks for the great pictures! How similar do you think it is to Boma? Would it make sense to eat at Boma and Tusker House on the same trip?

I have ressies at Boma and Tusker house. Now I think I should pick just 1.

I guess that is a good thing! Maybe breakfast for Tusker house and Dinner at Boma?

Oh man were were at AK a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't quite open. It looks like it will be on our to do list next trip!

Since were on the topic of the new Tusker House...does anybody recall how much it was per person?

From Jack Spence's blog over on allearsnet:

Lunch costs $19.99 and I thought it was worth the price. Dinner costs $26.99 – the only difference being that prime rib is added to the menu. I’m not so sure prime rib is worth a $7 increase.

What exactly goes better with the Spectromagic Parade on a chilly night than fresh hot Funnel Cakes- Hmmm?

It all depends on what you like. I would do both because Boma is one of my favorite places and I love the type of food served at both of these buffet locations. If you love it, then I'd say yes, but if you just want to try it, then I'd pick one or the other. :thumbsup2
